Okay

It was a good location for the event we were there for. The fact that there was no fridge made it tough to store drinks and leftovers. The late night menu was pretty weak, specifically no pizza which is the best late night snack. Would have been nice if there was a room with a balcony available. The pool area was pretty small. We had to lay on the cement most of the time because there was no beach chairs ever available.

Giardanos Italian restaraunt right behind the hotel had the most amazing stuffed pizza. Nice short walk and a great dinner.

Great location, near all attractions.

The hotel looked better in pictures than in person. The hotel was decent and the staff was very helpful and nice. The thing I appreciated most was that it was located in the heart of all the major attractions. The noise level was also decent. The major problems that I had were that the sheets were not deep fitted and came off when moving during the night. Also, my family used the coffee machine maker available in the room and found that they were not giving us new cups after each use, I don't even think they were cleaning them because there was a strange residue in the bottom of the cups after the first use, I had to wash them myself in the sink. They also chipped one of the cups and never replaced it. Other than that the stay was pleasant.

Not Bad For A Tourist Hotel

Hotel had a great location. The staff was not friendly but they were helpful. They charge $12.95 a day for internet but you can get it for free in the lobby on your laptop. The restaurant was never open for dinner, but they did do breakfast. They charge an steep $9.95 for a continental and an even steeper $14.95 for a hot brekafast. A better deal would be to walk less than 2 blocks to the right to Perkins Restaurant for a really good breakfast. The pool was great but it ranged from only 3 to 5 feet. Our room was clean and we had not problems. I recommened this hotel as being good for tourists.

Leave the hotel and take a right to the traffic light. That is International Drive and many restaurants can be found there. The Salt Island is spicy and way over-priced but the Ponderosa is great!

Good hotel for families on a budget.

Overall this is a good hotel for families on a budget. It was clean, staff was friendly, there was a shuttle to parks and there was on sight parking for a minimal fee. Negatives include hotel food was bad, a little out of the way location (but ok for those with a car), and shuttle service back from Universal was too early (although shuttle driver was amazing!!!). Again good value.

Expected a bit more

My wife and I stayed here when we went to HHN. It was a great location for that event. We did expect to have wifi in the room, so we were a bit bummed when we found out we would have to pay extra for it. I think I was expecting more since it was the Crown Plaza.

Very Nice, Comfortable Hotel

The hotel was in a great location. It was right in the middle of everything. Take the I-Ride Trolley and you can go in either direction in minutes. The rooms were a little small, the cable was less than desirable, and the safe didn't work in the room. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel restaurant was pricey. Unless its your last resort, go to the eateries up the street and around the corner. You'll get more bang for your buck. Overall, It was a nice hotel, reasonably quiet and very clean. I'd stay there again definetly.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Are plenty of restaurants up the street from the hotel that are reasonably priced. Also, take the I-Ride Trolley for a $1.25 a ride, or buy a pass..its better than renting a car.
