Watch out for shuttle service
Anna Dec 20, 2009
Spent the night because I had an early flight out. I am also disabled and walk with a cane. On checking out I was assisted ... with my luggaqge by the shuttle driver who I guess was on double duty. The problem arose when I discovered too late that the driver was dropping me down at baggage claim and not the curbside check-in where I needed to be. I was left with no one to help me, baggage I couldn't handle, and no way to get up to the upper level. I would have thought that the driver would have enough sense to warn me that I needed a taxi instead as he knew ahead of time I could not handle my luggage, common sense you know. Other than that the hotel was just fine.

Easy shuttle to/from the airport. Hotel restaurant was closed (Sunday evening?) but shuttle driver drove us to alternate ... restaurants (Applebees, Tony Roma's, Denny's within a few blocks) and then returned to pick us up. Actually better than being 'stuck' at a hotel restaurant. Staff was great, room clean and very comfortable. Very good value for the $$, especially at [...] non-rack rates.

lots of eating within a few blocks. This is an easy close-to-airport hotel that is situated to offer many dining options.

Experience @ Hotel
Traveller Oct 13, 2009
Although I do appreciate this hotel, but during my last visit on 10/07/09, I was disappointed with my reservation. First of ... all I had made a reservation for 2 kingsize bed but upon reconfirming my reservation with the hotel I was informed that I did not have what I had paid for but later after talking with [...] agent my requirements were confirmed. Upon arriving at the hotel and after checking into the my room we noticed that our room did not have a refrigerator where we could put our babies milk. After informing the front desk I was told that they would provide us with the refrigerator but will charge to the room, although I told the front desk that I am a regular guest and I was given a refrigerator during my last visit and not charged but unfortunately the staff was rude and did not want to listen to me, I had a very cranky baby at that moment and we all were very tired after a long flight so I again requested to them but they told me that i should talk to the reservations. I called the reservation dept. and was told that I should contact [...] agent. [...]

Four star is being generous...
Traveling with 2 kids under 4 Aug 24, 2009
Probably my biggest gripe with this hotel is just that I think 4-star is being awfully generous. The decor is old, outdated ... and frankly, feels unclean because it is so old. The hotel will work for people who are traveling to Orlando for one night and have to catch an early flight (as we did), but I did not want to spend any time in the room because it was dark and old. The good news, however, is that the staff was excellent. Truly helpful and knowledgeable so props to them. And, they have a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes to the airport so it saved us one day in car rental fees.
Traveler type: Family
Definitely turn in your car the night before your flight and take the shuttle to the airport. It is super convenient and ended up saving us $50.

Perfect for my needs
Seveer3 Aug 24, 2009
I was in the area to participate in an Olympic distance triathlon. As I am 69 years old, this is quite an undertaking for ... me, and I pretty much pamper myself when I go to one. I wanted a hotel where I could find good food, privacy, and the ability to go to bed really early without a lot of noise outside my room. The Crowne Plaza provided all of these requirements. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When I asked for a later checkout time so I could shower after my mile swim, 26-mile bike and 6.2 mile run, it was granted without question. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

My stay
On business Aug 23, 2009
The hotel is charging for internet access, I know there are several hotel chains doing this but I will not return to a hotel ... that charges for a service that a fast food resturant doesnt even charge for. In this day and age the internet should be a "service" that is part of their pakage not something for them to make more money off of. I could not belive the hotel did not have a vending machine for snacks anywhere in the hotel so if you have a late night craving for that candy bar you will have to get in your car and go find one! And did I mention the sorry execuse of a fitness room. Bring your pillows the bed only has small square pillows.

Great proximity to the airport, but....
John Aug 17, 2009
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The airport is located a little over a mile away. Orbitz buys rooms in blocks, and ... because they are at a discount, are not always the best. Our room was the last one at the end of the hallway, next to the service elevator. The bathroom was in desperate need of repairs. The floor tiles were all loose, and they moved up and down when walked on. The tile grout was crumbling. The tub stopper was not seated in the drain, but lying in the tub. The exhaust fan was ineffective, which is not uncommon. Other than that, it was quiet, and we got a good night's sleep.
