Coco Key Hotel and Water Park

we only stayed here for the waterpark. hotel outdated and in need of sprucing up! room had a funky smell to it. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, plenty of places to eat on I drive. Quick serve was anything BUT. Had to wait in line for pizza hut "express". Waterpark great, but VERY crowded. Hard to find a lounge chairs.

good stay for waterpark. but very crowded. don't eat at restaurant, eat on I drive. Dunkin donuts right next to hotel. also, hotel needs a bigger sign!! almost missed it.

The staff at Coco Key was very friendly! The waterpark is great for kids and families! The only downfall was the bathroom in our hotel room. It was not clean at all! Black mold growing on the ceiling above the shower and mold around the edges of the tub, soap scum ring around the tub, floors in bathroom were not clean, and tub was not draining properly. Yuck! Even with that being said we enjoyed ourselves at Coco Key just wish the bathrooms were alittle cleaner.

when i arrived at the hotel the first room offered was not good away from the water park and the hotel needed better renovations. i then was placed in a corner room near the water park which had a big brick blocking my view but close enough to hear my children and washing room. the food in the restaurant was food that is offered for free at the fee as if accommodations were made. be for real when theres several food options around which received the remaining of my money for the stay. the room at check in was not clean and i called but no one ever showed to clean or correct concerns. if it wasnt for the children wanting to swim i would have left. and the resort fee was too high $80 on top of bad service.

this place has it all....no need to leave the property !!

As a single mom, affordability is always a priority when traveling with my 2 kids. We have stayed at this hotel twice, and have had a blast both times!! The room is large and clean. The bed is comfortable too! The boys really enjoy the water park, even though it does not open until 11:00 AM. There is a restaurant on site, as well as a mini mart, which can be helpful, since each room has a fridge. We actually prefer to walk next door to Dunkin Doughnuts for an affordable breakfast. However, the hotel is so conveniently located to lots of restaurants, all within walking distance. Coming here is a nice place to take a break from the theme parks, and relax on the property for the day. I feel perfectly comfortable allowing the kids to enjoy the slides and pool, and can sit and read a book, without them being out of my sight. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I am sure that we will be back!!

Our check in time was 4pm...We came at 12:30 and was given a room right away! We were able to play in the water park all afternoon which was great being the water park closes at 5pm on Sundays. The water park has 3 separate sections one of which is under a canopy for those really hot days. Great for kids to play of all ages and swimming capabilities. The only downfall was no DVD player and the room did have a funny odor! ...Manageable.Also it took me about 5 mins to deadbolt the lock!!!

The hotel was not bad, but was not the greatest. I would stay at a more up graded hotel next time. The rooms has a lot of dust on the furniture, and the drains in the bathtub would not drain, your feet was under water while taking a shower, that did not feel clean.

Starting with the good. Staff is exceptional. They try very hard to please. My son's stuffed animal got wrapped up in the sheets and taken off to the laundry. The staff was very sympathetic and were on a 'mission' to get our stuffie back. Very kind a helpful staff. Water park is really fun and large number of very vigilant lifegaurds to watch out for everyone. Fun arcade with great variety for all ages. Hotel within walking distance to market, pharmacy and local attractions. Not so good. 1st room was very musty smelling. Water in bath only came out scorching hot for about 5 minutes before it started to cool then it ran cold. Went to front desk and got a new room. 2nd room smelled like french fries. Not ideal but travelling with 2 kids and didn't want to shuffle them off to a 3rd room. (temp control was better in this room's bath) The room was very average. The halls and rooms of the hotel were damp. Yes, it's Florida and yes there is a water park at the hotel (not attached to this bldg) but a humidifier system maybe? Hotel is affiliated with a timeshare 'chain' and there is a very aggressive salesperson in the lobby. You are lured over by the sign advertising discount tickets to theme parks. Once you ask about it they go to town. I almost feel bad submitting this review because the staff was really wonderful. Unfortunately their kindness does not make the hotel better. I would not stay here again.
