Home of the Bay Hill Invitational on the PGA Tour

Legendary golfer Arnold Palmer lives and plays at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge, which hosts the annual Bay Hill Invitational, part of the PGA Tour. Seventy residential-style lodges occupy the same grounds as chipping and putting greens, and come with amenities like full kitchens and living areas for travelers planning to stay awhile. Active visitors do not have to stick to golf, however. Six tennis courts, a spa, salon and fitness center satisfies guests at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge.

Highlights
  • Home course to Arnold Palmer and site of the annual Bay Hill Invitational on the PGA Tour
  • Luxurious residential-style retreats with golf course views
  • Six tennis courts, spa and fitness center
  • Heated pool
  • Three restaurants and a fireside lounge (for resort members only)
Rooms

The Bay Hill Club and Lodge is surrounded by 270 acres of pristine manicured grounds and its 70 lodges ooze rustic charm. Some rooms open to chipping and putting greens. Indoors, look for full kitchens, dining room tables and living rooms with plenty of armchairs, chaises and sofas. Expansive bathrooms highlight custom tile and double sinks. Cable television and high-speed Internet access are standard amenities.

Features

Golf lovers at any age and skill level challenge their skills at the sprawling Bay Hill Club and Lodge resort, which established the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy to teach the fundamentals according to Palmer and his philosophy of the game. No more than four students are paired with an instructor, and individual coaching is also available. For non-golf activities, visitors book a spa treatment, grab a workout in the fitness center or pool, or practice on six tennis courts. A salon pampers with full- or half-day packages and individual hair, nail and skin-care treatments.

Fantastic Getaway!

I really shouldn't be sharing this jewel because yes, I wish to keep this place to myself but APBayHill and their wonderful staff need to be recognized for the excellence that they demonstrate every time we visit. The staff are wonderful, the location is very convenient to attractions yet you can relax with peace of mind and luxury. Again, please do not share this too much or we will be both unable to secure rooms at this wonderful place.

Before discovering APBayHill, we stayed at a variety of spots before finding this wonderful place. Seaworld/Aquatica is located nearby as well as Universal Studios while Disney is a short easy drive down I-4.

Old school style hotel/lodge, very friendly staff and a super nice place to stay. An exceptional value and experience in itself, if you enjoy the country club/golf atmosphere you cannot go wrong.

Sun and golf

Although we hit florida rain and thunderstorms after three holes of golf, we recd a full refund and were able to reschedule our round for the next morning! They couldn't have been more accommodating. Pool area is immaculate, food served in restaurant by the pool was very reasonably priced, and they came chair-side to ask if we wanted additional drinks or food! Plenty of large, opened umbrellas to provide shade for those of us who wanted it, two bedroom home was immaculate and had everything we needed...other than my husband would have liked a bog screen tv to watch his golf in living room! Will return again!

World Class

I arrived and was greeted with a smile. The young lady behind the desk and the manger Carol were both exemplary employees. The lodge was beautiful and well manicured. The ammenities were definetly 5 star. Even with the furry of prep being handled for the upcoming event our stay was peaceful and appreciated . Hats off to all as example of what others strive for!!!!

get away; golf trip (family)

Everything about the hotel was fine, except for the room had some shortcomings. Most importantly, the lighting was very poor. Common facilities were fine. The golf course is (as expected) outstanding. Since we were there over Christmas, certain of the facilities (e.g., the fitness center) were closed when we wanted to use them.

We enjoyed The Pub restaurant on International Drive. Very British with an unbelievable selection of imported draught beers and ciders, and the food was very enjoyable.

Good Hotel, Great location

Overall, this is a good hotel. However, we were without power till 11:30 the first night, no fault of the hotel, but at checkout they were un-willing to do anything to compensate us for the inconvenience. The manager said they would "try" to give me 10% off that nights stay, but so far nothing. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. Other hotels have been much more accommodating, this hotel was not.

Lovely Orlando Hide-away

Truly enjoyed our stay at the Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Lodge. The lodge is a nice quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. Our room overlooked the beautiful golf course. Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was deliciious.
