Run down and past its prime

On the plus side, this hotel is located right next to I95 which made it easy to find and get around from. The young lady that checked us in was very friendly and remembered our names. On the negative side, the area of the hotel has many "adult" themed businesses near by that may not be right for some travelers, families in particular. The hotel itself needed repairs throughout. Because of our travel plans, we stayed two nights in two separate rooms. Neither room's remote control for the TV worked, the phone in the second room was missing many of the buttons. Any thing made of fabric was either stained or dirty, chairs, window curtains, bedding and carpeted areas. The sliding door to the outside wouldn't latch so we heard the I95 traffic all night. I won't be staying here again and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

very loud and disappointing

I felt not very welcome at check-in. My room was on the 3rd level and viewed to a very dirty pool...and to the interstate as well. If the noise of the street won“t bother you, the noise of the fans outside under the window will. There were at least 5 of them. The fitness-room (just 3 cardio-machines) is not worth it to talk about, every machine was broken. You have to pay for the safe, but it was locked, so you can“t use it. The room wasn“t clean. In my opinion, the only thing were the hotel was trying hard was the breakfast. But nothing special at all. (pastries and toast, coffee, milk)...I paid 75 Dollars and regretted it.

NOT THREE STARS. NOT A SAFE HOTEL.

I have never had a worse experience at any hotel that I've ever booked through this website in my business life, spanning over 10 years. This is an old, not-even-remodeled FORMER LARGE BRAND NAME HOTEL. The hotel is literally falling apart on one side. The curtains are torn and windows are cracked. The wireless doesn't work AT ALL in the guest rooms and is spotty AT BEST in the lobby (BECAUSE 100 PEOPLE ARE DOWN THERE AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT TRYING TO WORK). The area is absolutely horrid as far as safety and comfort. It may be right off of the interstate but it is impossible to get into and out of. Lots of homeless and undesirable people harassing you. There is a REQUIRED DEPOSIT when you stay here (from $100 to $200, depending on method of payment) that this website does not tell you about, along with the $4 a day lock fee. My room was filthy. The people at the front desk were some of the most rude and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Every call you attempt to make from the HORRIBLE room phone costs you money (including front desk calls). I won't ever even consider staying here again and I also won't be using this website to book hotels anymore. This is my second time, in two different cities, falling for these "deals". Never again. This hotel should charge people hourly. The smells of marijuana and shouts and screams at all hours of the night were enough to keep one from sleeping.

Avoid at all costs

Wi-fi is not functional at all. It works 5 meters from reception with the name "lynk**" and not the hotel name (the one with hotel name connects to nowhere). Beds are really narrow, can not accomodate 2 people (even if called qween size). Cockroaches in the bathroom. Breakfast is coffee, milk, pastries, musli. Nothing else. Purchased 2 nights but had to move out after 1 night with no good sleep. No refunds and people working there know it is bad place, so do not expect much help even though they are willing to. Hated it.

Outrageously optimistic

I arrived at this self appointed glorious gem of the North Beach, well it is good that they think that of themselves. They are far from the beach, clubs, all the goings on and fun and nightlife they proclaim to be a part of. At best they are in the middle of renovating an old hotel, well past it's prime and how they figure to be part of the night life of any beach is far beyond me. Upon arrival at 3:30pm I was told that I had no reservation Orit or otherwise, that they would not have a room for me either that day or any of the three I had booked on Orit. They went on to tell me the problem was a common one with Orit and that I was going to have to take it up with them that the property had no recourse with Orit and did not know what else to tell me. Needless to say I went on farther into Miami and found a room for the three nights, at a much higher rate, and enjoyed my stay which I booked to be close to a medical facility where I had appointments for two of the three days. I called Orit that night, got in touch with a very helpful Orit employee whose first statement of course was you know that your booking is non- refundable. My response was oh yes I am fully aware but listen to this, after he contacted the property and myself and the property and again myself and attempted to put us on three way several times he began to see my problem. They were more that willing to bad mouth me and to blame the whole incident on me going so far as to say they had a room for me for that night and the next two as per the reservation. My problem? It was 10:30pm and I was not willing to drive back the 15 miles to the property where I had been treated badly and after I had checked into another hotel and already paid for the three night stay. Every time the Orit guy tried to put us on a three way to discuss what had happened at the property we were mysteriously disconnected, finally we made connections and when I questioned the property employee she had to admit to their earlier treatment of me. And to add insult to injury she admitted to her statements about Orit.! Story with happy ending, Orit did refund my money, I get to warn you about the Holiday Golden Glades while you can watch out, I can steer clear of them!,,

Dirty filty coachroaches no service at all

It was dirty, bad location, no phone to call the reception,Breakfast was a disaster. The internet was not working and you had to pay for a safe we didn't use. This hotel is one big scam fault on the list of Orbitzz. Check in was a big problem although we showed our reservation. Getting extra towels for a third person was every day a problem. We will never go back and the other reviews are mild. No frigde and the room was so dirty. This was my worst hotel in years, it should have been on the backpackers list.
