beautiful location
This was a great location and I would stay there again when in area if the price is right. It wasn't a bargain to stay there even using this online booking, and I thought $15 per day for parking was a little excessive-I probably would have booked a different hotel if I had realized I would have to pay to park ( there is a boutique hotel in middle of the delightful town, cost less per night and included parking) The staff at the Edgewater were friendly, the beach was wonderful and my room was great.

Great location
Having stayed here before, we knew that the hotel was very well placed for the beach and for downtown Naples. It is a suite-only hotel, with a microwave as the only cooking device (e.g. no hob). Suites are large, and facilities are good. We stayed in the tower block (6 storeys), rather than the poolside suites. Would suggest staying on 4th floor and no higher, due to noises from staff areas above some of the upper rooms (as we experienced on the 5th). One unnecessary irritation - paying a decent rate for the room, and for food, beverages etc., why do they charge for use of the hotel car park?

A little piece of paradise
The Edgewater Beach Hotel was everything we had hoped for in a beachfront property. The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean and the outdoor pools as well as the ocean were splendid! The front desk staff was very gracious and the beach staff met every one of our needs while we were on the beach. The hotel was conveniently located in Naples with shopping and restaurants very close by. One of the things we truly loved was the retro feel of this hotel. It was very apparent that this hotel was built in the 1950s' and all of the updates (which were tastefully done by the way) held on to this time period in a special way. The lobby is stunning and the our room followed close behind. We would not hesitate staying here again!

In Hotel
Our flight landed earlier than the 4:00 p.m. check-in time so we called the hotel. The front desk staff found our room was ready so they let us check-in early. SWEET!

Great for families
Very nice, clean hotel. It has 2 beautiful pools and is set right on the beach so you can go back and forth from the two. Beautiful sunsets every night about 7:30 p.m. in April. The food at the hotel was also very good.

Beautiful beach-side resort
The Hotel staff was very helpful and readily available. The newly available continental breakfast was amazing. We can't say enough about the sunsets on this beach! Very Romantic. Our only complaint would be the living room furniture. The seating part of the couch and chairs were plastic and horribly uncomfortable! We had to use towels on the seat cushions in order to sit on the furniture. As for the bed, we were more than pleased with it's comfort level. The hotel should re-think whatever they are using to wash their towels in. The smell was hideous and they had to be aired out on the balcony before using.

Nice ambience, people and setting, but..
Our full experience was diminished by extremely cold weather in Naples the week we were there...obviously not the hotel's fault. As a couple, we had several concerns: the HVAC (we had the heat on the entire week) was very noisy, clanging on and off all day and night; the towels were old and stiff; the shower was not as hot and strong as we would like; and at times the housekeeping was minimal (no extra glasses, as requested, some areas not really cleaned). Also, hotel is upgraded, but not as new as advertised, has some wear and tear.
