High art retreat in sexy South Beach

In a city of eye-popping design, this Collins Avenue hotel is a model for striking minimalism. The Sagamore was named as one of Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List of The World's Best Places to Stay. The 93-room property has a museum-worthy collection of art, photography and sculpture.  Guests can bounce between the Art Video Bar Lounge and the picture-specked Game Room.

Highlights
  • Featured on Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List of The World's Best Places to Stay
  • Chic Collins Avenue hotel near South Beach nightlife
  • Museum-quality collection of art, photography and sculpture
  • Beachside or in-room spa treatments
Rooms

The studios, suites, bungalows and penthouse play up the gallery design of the hotel, using shapes, color and lighting to achieve a contemporary feel. Throw pillows bear geometric prints. Framed artwork, candles and orb-shaped lamps spark visual interest. Fresh-cut flowers such as tulips and orchids bring the space to life. Some rooms have balconies that invite guests to enjoy the ocean or garden views. Standard amenities include porcelain tile floors, Whirlpool tubs with circulating jets and Aveda bath products.

Features

The hotel has a reputation for showcasing some of the best video art in the world. Guests have a front row seat to innovative works in the Video Garden, an outdoor lounge boasting four video screens, and in the Art Video Lobby Bar,  a sultry den for sipping martinis while abstract art flickers on the wall.

The RikRak Beauty Bungalow invites guests to indulge in the ultimate South Beach treat: poolside or cabana spa treatments. Caviar Timeless Pearl Facial or Miami Mojito Pedicure anyone?

Great Location and decent value

The room was a suite with a master bedroom and small living area. Great location and beach amenities. YOu can walk out the back of the pool area to the Sagamore seating area on the beach. Well-informed and courteous staff. No "Lobby Scene" like its immediate neighbors but that is a short walk away if your interested. Easy access via bus from the airport. Stylish art deco decor. Would stay there again

Perfect Christmas Vacation with Family

We did a last minute get-away to the Sagamore. We had a perfect Christmas here. The Room, the pool and the beach access were designed for ease and comfort. Next year we will bring our 2 little girls as the hotel does an excellent job at taking care of families. We will do this as a regular vacation!

Sagamore Is Great

What we liked was the low key vibe, great pool and helpful staff. The bed was really comfortable. The bar by the pool was well run. High marks for service.

staff was very friendly

I like sagamore compared to some other hotels.. its elegant & chic. The staff was very friendly. The pool scene is great, exactly what I was looking for. Not too big, not too small, just right. Very relaxing.. I stayed in a bungalow suite right next to the pool.. it was a nice location. I walk out onto the pool area.. it was very convenient. The hotel artchitecure and decor is very original, tasteful and so Miami.. the white marble tiles to the black white photos to the original show pieces in the lobby, the concept was designed well.. I will definitely return in January. .
