The Ocean Reef Suites

Very comfortable 2 nights stay. Repair work going on during stay, but not a problem. Sounded like a carnival was passing by in the early hours of the first morning, as the windows are not very soundproof.

Pros: Awesome location, short walk to Clevelander, Mangos, Wet Willies and of course the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did as good of a job as anyone could do with three guys in a room without having their moms there to pick up their socks. Beds were very comfortable and air conditioning worked flawlessly. They have a Spa on site with a menu of their services in every room. A convenience store next door, good for picking up snacks to keep in your room as you will have a small refrigerator and microwave. Also next door is a tour office so if you want to go sight seeing around Miami or take a day trip to Key West they will help set that up for you. Cons: No elevators or bellboys so you will have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to your room (if you stay on their 2nd floor). No parking lot so you you will have to park in the street, use a parking deck or valet service. No Valet service on the premises so you have to time it just right because once called they take about 15 minutes to pick up or drop off your car. Plus the Valet service gets paid separately so they are going to expect payment when they drop off your car or pick it up. As of 07/02/12 Valet service was $20 a day plus tip. I stayed in a studio and the bathroom was a little cramped. Overall my friends and I would stay again, the staff was great and the price compared to other hotels in the area was great. I'm constantly traveling to South Beach so I will look at them again.

First and most important their was an infestation of bugs in our room. The bugs were on the walls, curtains, bathroom, and even our BED, between the sheets. The shower head pressure was really low and the tub was old and rustic. The MOTEL ran out of face towels and beach towels. The building is old and the decor is out dated. Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this MOTEL.

don't stay here! They have bed bugs and roaches. I complained about the roaches and all they did was come kill them. When we checked in the hotel it was two dead roaches left on the floor. Not to mention they wear huge! It was crickets in the bathroom! And when I went to bed I noticed they had bed bugs so I asked for a new room. They gave me a new room and it was only worse! I left the hotel and went to stay somewhere else. The staff wasn't bad but the hotel Is def not up to par!

I went here with a bunch of friends. The rooms were OK with all furnishing with cheap Ikea stuff. The sheets and comforters looked clean but very used. There were few small roaches we killed, but no other creatures found. Noise level was good for most part, except when the trash collection truck came in early morning, forcing us awake. The best part is the location, very close to all the restaurants on Ocean Dr , and the night clubs on Washington Ave.

Good location in walking distance to clubs, the beach, restaurants on the strip, etc. Hotel was nice and clean, modern decor. Well worth it. Worst part about the stay was that the hotel didnt have an ice machine inside, but there is a restaurant right next door...

Stayed overnight before a cruise. Great room, spacious with nice kitchenette section and comfortable bed, along with dining table, flatscreen tv and walk in closet. Only downside was that the tub was a little weathered, not dirty at all, but poor appearance. Compared to other boutique hotels the room was much larger and would be excellent to stay in for multiple days. 2 minute walk to beach and right in the heart of south beach. Staff is helpful as well.

Great location, staff was very friendly, hotel was clean. Beds were surprisingly comfortable! The only thing that kept me from rating this a 4 was the bathtub (could stand to be updated). Overall, would stay there again for an inexpensive getaway.
