The Mimosa Hotel & Spa

We arrived 1 1/2 hours before 3PM check in. Other people were checking in, but I was told that our room was not ready. OK. We came back at 2:40 and room was not ready. We sat in the lobby until 3 and asked if the room was ready and "Oh ya, sure." They made us wait until exactly 3:00. That seemed so petty to me, it ruined any chance of me liking the hotel. The room was smaller than any I have seen. The bath tub was not clean. We could have had a view of the ocean if the windows were not so filthy. Window A/C unit, no heat, and it was cold. Very inconvenient to come and go as there is only 1 elevator and it is at opposite end of building. I saw no roaches. That's the best I can say.

The hotel is nice and neat, but we were charged nearly $200 per room plus $20 for parking across the street. Too much for the hotel on 65th street and Collins. Other than that, everything was very nice, clean, and the staff was very helpful. Thank you!

we walk around the places restaurants and store around the hotel.we missed to have a casino close to the area,but the public transportation was very god,we were able to get to a different places by a taxi, by bus because it was just right there by the hotel, the hotel was small that we though, but is very cozy and is fantastic family gateway.

We had paid extra to upgrade the room to a Superior room but there was nothing superior about it. We had no access to the A/C so the room temp varied throughout the day. The evenings ended up being hot with the days having a variety of temps. The concept of the room was nice but it was not an upgraded room by any means. Location was great. Walking distance to local shoping, bars and restaurants. The ocean being on the other side of the pool was also a huge selling point. I am just disappointed in no access to the temp control and I was not blown away by the room.

Decent hotel, a short cab ride to South Beach and really close to the bus stop, which for $2 each was was not bad at all. The beach is beautiful and the rooms are a bit small, but nice and cozy. It's in a nice area with stores and restaurants with in walking distance.

I only stayed one night on business, but the hotel was simple and clean. I think calling it a "luxury" hotel may be a stretch, but for an affordable location on the beach it works. Parking is expensive, but no more so than anywhere else on Miami Beach.

We got to the hotel early and our room was ready to go, which was very nice, parking was easy and the pool are was very nice. Access to the beach was perfect and we loved the room. Very clean and relaxing.

This is my second stay at the MImosa. Pros: Great location, Great walkability to local restaurants, Great beach acces, Great contemporary design and Great cleaning standards! Cons: In general a friendlier staff would create a great experience. Staff doesn't really greet you and food staff doen't smile at all. Continental breakfast is a cup of weak coffee and toast. That should be improved....at least offer a fruit.

From check in to check out this clean, quiet, modern hotel had everything we could have wanted, including a two person spa in the room. The room was simple, and nicely decorated. The staff was great, extremely friendly. The pool area is very nice and the beach access is great and uncrowded. This hotel is in North Beach, so you have to drive 6-7 miles if you want to do SoBe. We choose it to get away to somewhere quiet and we weren't disappointed.
