Art Deco landmark hotel on Ocean Drive
This Art Deco hotel enjoys a precious spot on South Beach's legendary Ocean Drive. Lummus Park is right across the street, and the lively clubs, restaurants and boutiques that made this area famous are also nearby. Okay for a short stay
The location of the majestic is perfect. It is right across the beach, close to great places to eat, and close to shopping centers, however, that is all I can say that is positive. The staff, especially the morning concierge, was not helpful and overall rude. I can honestly say that the only two staff members were nice and willing to lend a helping hand. The cleaning was lacking and half the time we would come back to our room like at 4 and it still wasn't cleaned. There are also extra charges that you have to pay when you leave the hotel which I found ridiculous. Good if you are tight on cash, otherwise, look for another hotel.

My Miami Trip
When we got there it was good the staff was very nice. We had to wait til our room was ready. That wasnt a problem so we got something to eat form Johnny Rockers. Their food was so good! After we came from there we went back to the hotel. The room was ready however we didnt know it was going to be a 150.00 for a security deposit... My sister and I was shock! What if we didnt have the 150??? It wasn't in the fine print. The only thing we knew about was the 25.00 resort fee which wasnt a problem. I might go back if it was the last hotel on the packages. If not then on to the next.

Great location
Aside from the great beachfront location right on Ocean Drive, this hotel was mediocre at best. There is a restaurant right downstairs so unless you have a room on the third (top) floor, don't expect to get any sleep...but I think that goes for anywhere on Ocean Drive. Cheap/good place to stay if you're going to be out all day and only need a place to sleep.

Birthday Getaway
I went to south beach for my 25th Birthday. The location of the hotel was wonderful, being that it was located right on Ocean Drive in the heart of everything. The restaurant always had some type of special on drinks. The rooms although small had just enough room for me and my bestfriend to manuever around. The bathroom was not glamourous at all, but overall got the job done. The staff at the front desk were great when it came to offering advice on places to go.

Try CJ's Seafood restaurant located just on Ocean drive to the right of the hotel when looking toward the beach. The food was wonderful.

Good position
Good position but marred by noisy restaurant in front of it on the pavement. After reading damning reviews, asked for a quiet room and was given a large quiet room at the back which we were pleased with. Compulsory £12.50 resort tax per day gives one beach towels, coffee machine, water etc. Mainly ate at the Cuban restaurant one block back as all restaurants on Ocean View Drive add 18.5% service charge + tax of 7%. Good for public transport and the beach.

Prime location
I spent 4 nights at the Majestic Hotel South Beach. The room was average, not too big however it was nice and clean. The room came with a nice sized flat screen tv, there is a safe but no mini-fridge. The hotel staff does provide bottled water when they make up the rooms. The staff was very attentive, I complained about the toilet which was acting up one night and the next morning the maintenance man showed up. Great location right across from the beach. At night its nice and lively on ocean drive but not noisy in the room. Its not a luxury hotel but we were hardly in the room, pretty much just to shower, change and sleep. I would stay here again, especially for the geeat price and location.
