Not enough towels
we were supposed to get 2 queen size beds. we ended up with just a king (for 2 adults + 2 kids). they gave us a rollaway bed for just one of the kids. we had to continuously ask for more towels. c'mon, we asked for them the first day, with 4 people don't you think we would need them every day as well? overall, not bad. we had a side view of the ocean, but it was nice to just get out of the hotel and within 100yds the ocean was at your feet.

Take a taxi
Do not park your car at this place. The cost is excessive and unneccessary. You are better off taking a taxi. There is an old structure as part of the new hotel. Do not stay there. Floors second and third. The airconditioning is very weak and you are paying for a new hotel but staying in the old hotel.

Not too happy
The staff was very freindly but the hotel needs to be attended better. We felt like every thing took forever to recieve. We have been going to South Beach for the past 12 years and it was not that busy so we expected to get better service.

Nice hotel, location could be better
The hotel was nice. Clean and friendly. The only two issues I had was:[...]The location. It's good for the beach, but it's too far south and forces you to deal with the childish and annoying strip with all the idiots and tourist bars. My future trips to SoBe will be booked at hotels above 14th Street on Collins Ave. allowing me to avoid the idiots.

Nightlife tip:
Long walk from hotel
If you're older than 21 and you don't want to deal with idiots and ghetto people spend time at the Lincoln Mall strip in the day and evenings at more upscale spots like the Shelborn, Shore Club, Delano etc... The strip on Ocean Drive near this hotel is packed with 21+ year old idiots acting like it's their first time leaving mommy and daddy.

Great hotel & location, excellent staff
This was our last getaway for a while as my wife and I are expecting our first baby this May. We did not rent a car (took a cab) since the hotel is located only 11 miles from the airport. As you enter the hotel you can sense that it's going to be a great stay because it smells fresh in the lobby and every single staff member is smiling. The rooms/bathrooms are clean, everything is in good working condition, the bed is comfortable and super clean. This is one of the very few hotels that has beach access. The pool area, the bar, the hot tub are all great. And on top of it you can be at the beach in 30 seconds. We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. Fresh and clean. It's a bit pricy but this is no "spring break" hotel. If you'd like to have quality time with your loved one(s) at the adult stages of your life this is the place to stay at Miami Beach. It's on 2nd street. A fun 25 minute walk will easily get you to Lincoln Drive which is around 16th street. And there are always plenty of cabs around at the end of the day...

Short walk from hotel
Dining: There is so much to choose from within a 1.5 mile radius you'll have to plan ahead. Or just be spontaneous. Shopping: Same. Nightlife: Same.

This is a happening place!
When we got to the hotel, we found someone's sock in the closet and the cleaning staff doesn't always vacuum when they clean - but we were switched to a different room with a beach view which made up for it (w/o a problem). The shower heads were bad because there was no pressure - it felt that you were standing under a fine rain shower. This was the ONLY hotel that was 'happening' in South Beach. It wasn't crowded and there was always space on the beach and by the pool. All other hotels and their pools were empty and they seemed lonely. We had a good mix of people at the hotel - families with kids, business professionals, young adults, elderly. This was definitely not a party hotel but the view and the amenities were awesome! The staff was friendly. A lot of areas outside to hang out. The location of the hotel is a little farther from the hot spots in South Beach/Miami Beach but it is a lot quieter than around the noisy restaurants and clubs. Very happy with the experience at this hotel and very happy that we stayed here.

Great hotel but trouble with the booking
This is a great family hotel if you want to be close to South Beach's Art Deco area. Plus you have a kid's park next door. [...]
