Great inexpensive hotel in the middle of everything. We enjoyed the stay. Our room had a small bedroom and a living room with a couch, very convenient since there were three of us. If you happen to travel in a party of three or four, don't assume
that there will be two queen beds in a room as it usually is. There is just one. Call and ask them to give you a room with a couch. The staff is very friendly. Hotel is conveniently located close to night life. Parking is at $30 per day across the street.
We checked into the hotel for the 4th of July weekend and were impressed with our room, it wasn't just a room but also included a little living room area which was great and unexpected. The room was really clean and comfortable. I wish the lights
were a little brighter, there is a hall with a full length mirror which would be great to get ready in front of, however there is no light in that area of the room or plug which was a bit of a bummer as we had to share the small bathroom mirror to get ready. The double shower head and tub was cool, there was one shower head that only had cold water, which was fine as the other was hot; again the bathroom can use brighter lighting as well. Eddy at the front desk was great and super helpful throughout our stay! He went out of his way to get us a can and bring fresh towels which was really nice. Overall would totally recommend this hotel and will definitely be back! The location is great and there is a small little taxi service that takes you anywhere on the beach for free, that was a great added bonus! :)
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Parking across the street is great for $30 a day. We left our car there Friday and picked it up Monday morning did not have to worry about moving it at all.
Stayed here for New Years. There's quite a few bad reviews on this site, but while I think some points are true, some are a little unfair. The hotel has to be taken in the context of Miami. Miami is an expensive city for hotels and the hotels are
historic art deco so they can come across a little older . This hotel is in a fantastic location, with rooms with lots of space, a nice pool and a good restaurant. The downsides are the rooms are a little dated and the AC is loud.
Its not directly on the beach, it doesn't have great ocean views and it doesn't have all the nightlife and glamour, but then again, you aren't paying those prices!
Overall very satisfied with the stay.
