weekend getaway
The lady that checked us in made a mistake and was very arrogant about it. The shower kept changing tempetures from cold to scolding. Suprise $11 a day charge for amenties (still don't know what they were).

While the hotel is nice, it's much further north than the name indicates as a real south beach hotel

I came on a R&R alone for my birthday weekend. The hotel is small but cute. The hotel is on 30th street a block from the beach. They provide you with a little red chair. I kept getting the broken one which was pretty annoying after walking all the way to the beach and realizing you have a broke chair. They serve a complimentary drink by the hotel pool or bar for free. So I order a mojito and get a $14.00 bill. Which I ask why and he said ifs for the drink and the mojito was not the complimentary beverage for the day. So thY was not clearly stated so I.had them just bring me the "complimentary" drink instead of disputing my claim. I felt the need to relax and let it go. The room was cute but small some rooms have decent view of the bay. Not the beach the hotels surrounding are much higher. They are no restaurants but one small grocery store 2 blocks away. All the attractions are down Collins ave 20th street down to ocean drive. The hotel is cute, dainty and quiet. Yes I would stay their again. Walking the beach boardwalk is amazing and the people are so international. As a new Yorker it almost felt like home.

Red South Beach Rocks!!!
I had a phenomenal time at the Red Hotel, from the moment I checked in, with Hampton at the front desk, Anthony the bellman, Jose the valet to Charlie the concierge-she goes above and beyond with what she took care of for me and in a rapid fire way-to Clementine who apparently works night and day at the bistro. It was my first visit to South Beach and now because of the fabulous staff, I now have an excuse to go back any time I can. I will be back soon.

Impressed
The staff here make this hotel worthwhile. Rooms are tiny, but clean. The entire staff go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. I will definitely stay here again.

Red South Beach
It's a small cozy room, I'll tell you that unless you get a penthouse or something. The parking was frustrating because they don't have a lot so you need to search and pay. After you pay for parking you still need to drag all your bags from wherever to the hotel...I'm not going back, I will try my luck elsewhere.

Very nice spot just one block away from the beach and food. Minutes away from the south beach night life it does not get any better.

Red South Beach
I was there for a mini holiday vacation with some friends we went to the beach clubs shopping and didn't get a chance to do tours b/c of the rain. I thought the hotel was fabulous I didnt understand the holes in the soap but very nice decor. I think bartendars should serve drinks at the pool not just at the table. Breakfast could have been better overall good food and service. I love Red South Beach and even though its further away from the action its a good hotel. Red is my favorite color and glad to see it recognized with great decor, service and accomodations.

Short drive from hotel
Eating at the hotel is closer but very expensive I suggest traveling further down for cheaper meals and for great seafood dishes on ocean drive and grillfish is awesome snapper! And if you have the means and time find a good cuban spot of the reserve of south beach its awesome really gives u a taste of miami. Do one of the food tours where u taste real cuban, italian foods.

Nice room great price!!
The room I booked was the queen petit so I wasn't totally shocked at how small the room actually was. The bathroom was the smallest that I have ever seen, however it was very clean and more than adequate for bathing and such. The room had its own thermostat for the A/C and it was very comfortable. The bed was great with nice linens and a down comforter. There is a resort fee of $11.00 dollars per day as well as $19.00 per day to park, this was an unexpected surprise. I would recommend the hotel, but I would advise you to ask about the price of a larger room if you are bringing the children. Overall a good experience, my grade is B+
