Miami Beach value hotel with on-site sandwich shop near beach and bars
Stay on a sunny corner of Miami Beach in an original 1936 Collins Avenue building. The Ocean Spray Miami Beach Hotel is a lemon-lime-colored six-story tower hotel for both business and holiday travelers. The aqua water and sparkling sands of the world famous Miami Beach are just a block away from the Ocean Spray Miami Beach Hotel. The South Beach nightlife scene is just farther down the road. Great Staff
It wasn't that bad as I thought it would've been but it was a great location. It's about a 2 minute walk to the beach. They didn't have many fast food restaurants around them either.

Decent place stay w/ good rate
I stayed three nights over Christmas. The first two nights I was able to get a good rate for the hotel, but the third night it jumped up alot. I understood it got worse as the week went on; Closer to New Year's Eve. This location is more about the beach, one block away, than location to entertainment and dining. The hotel kept some change for parking but would run out if you did not get there early. One of the hotels across the street had a change machine but it was not in service one of those days. Great access to the beach boardwalk across the street. Wanted to rent a scooter for the trip, which was a blast by the way, but all the rentals are closer to the South Beach area. All in all, the hotel did not add or take away from my trip experience. I would consider this hotel again if I was able to get a great rate. Also, this hotels elevator was last inspected in 2008 and it had an expired inspection sticker on the elevator. Could be some cause for concern as the elevator did jump some. Hope they check this out.

No frills, charges a lot, good location
Pretty good location 1 block from the beach and easy access on/off the island. The rooms were small as was the lobby. I didn't see any sort of breakfast and they charged $1 for coffee. Parking was horrible, they direct you to park in a structure for $24 a day. Seems like decent turnover for street parking though. Staff was decent, not overly friendly. Nightlife is quite a walk but is doable. I would recommend with disclaimer- nothing special about this place but you get what you pay for as you'd pay nearly double across the street.

good for overnight traveler
I needed a place for night during a business trip, for which I got a clean room very standard mattress and bedding, would not recommend for a vacation if you have to spend time in the room

Not too bad
We basically wanted to be close to the beach and the hotel was only a block away. For 80 bucks a night, it was one of the cheapest options on Miami Beach. The room was spacious and clean, and it was rather quiet on the 4th floor. The only issue about the room was that the queen mattress was extremely uncomfortable. For those who don't like stiff mattresses, you may want to consider elsewhere. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Missing Miami Beach
3 day getaway on low budget
The location was prime as it was a block from the beach but housekeeping came in late every day and weren't courteous. Very noisy construction outside and woke us up at 8am every morning.

There was a stretch of great restaurants a short walk from this hotel. Everything from a deli to Italian food to a chocolate factory, 41st street had it all.

Great when travelling on the Cheap!~
We arrived at the hotel in fears of staying at a dump due to paying next-to-nothing. The hotel lobby was fresh, clean and fairly modern. Hotel staff was great, pleasant, and very helpful, especially our new BFF, [...]! The rooms were clean, and had several mirrors which was great for two young ladies travelling. Bathrooms were clean and towels were replaced daily. The location is great if you want to stay by a clean, quiet beach, and not far from the bus stops to go downtown shopping or out to dinner. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and you get way more bang for your buck!

Across the bridge by the hotel, and down about 2 quick blocks is an amazing French Bakery where you can get a freshly baked and cooked breakfast croissant which comes with a salad,tea or coffee for about 7 bucks. The food is all bakery made and not imported from some truck and staff are friendly!!! A must if you are craving great breakfast! There is also a Subway restaurant in the lobby which is handy for a quick eat also.
