We visited Miami, south beach for are yearly women trip. March 29- April 1 2012. The Good: the hotel was in a good location & a good price for south beach area. It wasn't in the heart of south beach but it was only 2 blocks away from all the action. The beach across the street. The staff was very helpful & knowledgeable of the area, they gave great dinning tips and also where to shop & how to get there. The hotel lobby was very small but elegant & the restaurant next door was going through renovation while we were there but the last night was there grand opening and the service was a bit slow but the food was great. It is an authentic Italian restaurant. The Bad: the room was small for three women to share, the glass shower door would not close all the way so water was all over the floor when you took a shower. The Ipoddock station worked some of the time. We took everything off the bed so house keeping would change the bed or make it up, she did neither. All three nights we had to request wash clothes because she never gave us any, nor did she make our beds. One night i moved the pillow and seen mildew on the streets and some green stuff was on the side where my sister was sleeping. We went to lobby to complain and request to make sure we get wash clothes. When we return from shopping we had clean sheets but no wash clothes. The blow dryer shorted out while in use. Very tiny refrigerator The room it self: the room was small with 2 double beds, the bathroom was pretty but small. The decor was this old western style looking wood, not cute but OK , there were no hanging pictures but painted pictures of fish on the wall. The sink & mirror is in the room with the beds no the bathroom. Small window, only view is of another building, but we didn't care about the view, there is plenty to see on the strip. No carpet on the floor, but the tile was pretty. Drop down iron board that would not hold & a safe in the room very easy to use and was free to use. Other than that we had a great time would stay here again but we never stay at the same hotel twice, always a different one every year.

Aventurea Mall has everything from Coach.Neiman&Marcus,Macy's,Baker's, Cheesecake factory.Everything in this busy Mall. 45min public bus ride $4 round trip.

The hotel was ordinary. The average standard for average price. The only over-average was the localisation. The main problem was during one night when the temperature went around 40F and in the room was no heating.

Location was good across from beach and close to where restaurants are. Bad things: -Breakfast is toast and apple and OJ or Coffee Can't even get a glass of ice water - no mirror or sink in bathroom..it's in the middle of the main room

Basic Soth Beach Option
Six-night stay. Location is the best value of the this hotel. No pool, expenxse parking and not on the beach. Small european style rooms.

All the restaurants are right on Ocean Drive right up the street from the hotel. Clubs are a good walking distance away, or you can take a cheap cab ride

Pretty basic, but good location
Ocean 5 is pretty basic accommodation, but if your outside for most of the day, who cares really. The location is on 5th street and ocean drive-on the start of the art deco hotel strip. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful- beds where clean and comfortable and showers had good pressure (something even high end hotels are sometimes lacking). Continental breakfast was a joke- just grab your coffee and have breakfast a few doors down.

After visiting Miami beach for many times- I like the restaurants on Espanola way the best- amazing tapas, Cuban and Italian food. The fancy hotels are also good for an amazing breakfast- try Delano or Satai.

South Beach, Miami
Ocean Five was in the perfect location on Fifth and Ocean in South Miami Beach. It was close to the beach and nightlife. A Starbucks was a block or two away. Restaurants were right around the hotel. It was a decent hotel and the staff was friendly. They lend out beach towels for you to take to the beach. The beds were pretty firm, but we all slept well. When our trip ended, the man at the front desk called for a cab for us to take to the airport and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. This was so far the best trip I have taken to Miami Beach and I would definitely book a room at this hotel on my next trip to South Beach.

NICE HOTEL AND GREAT LOCATION
THE HOTEL WAS NICE. WE DID HAVE ISSUES WITH GETTING OUR HOTEL CLEANED ON A DAILY BASIS, BUT ASIDE FROM THAT IT WAS A GREAT LOCATION FOR A LOW PRICE
