Awesome family hotel
We booked a standard double with two beds but when we arrived they were not available and the staff kindly upgraded us to a two room suite. It was a PERFECT set up for us and an unexpected pleasure. There was a jacuzzi in the master, three t.v.'s total, a murphy bed in the sitting room/dinette area and pocket doors separating the space into three rooms. It was ideal! We ordered pizza from room service for the teens(very tasty) and got a recommendation from the concierge for a Cuban restaurant. He even gave us a discount! It was an excellent dinner, and only 2 blocks away. We spent four hours on the beach and in the ocean. The area had several sand bars so it was shallow for quite a way into the ocean. The hotel allowed us to keep our luggage at the front desk, although we had already checked out, and made it so we could play in the ocean longer. We did not use the pool, but it was filled with kids who were having a great time. The brunch buffet in the hotel had a wide variety of foods and was hot and good. Lastly, my daughter enjoyed decorating cookies in the lobby as one of the hotel activities. We definately would return!!

In a strip mall two blocks away was a Cuban restaurant. One side was very casual and even had a take out window. The other side was a very nice restaurant and we had a leisurely meal in a nice atmosphere.

vacation 2009
Arrived on a late flight. Called before leaving home to verify reservation and inform would be in late, please hold room. Was assured all was set. Got there at 1am to find they had rented our room. Was told we would be reimbursed for night (did not), our room would be ready by Noon the next day (was not) and was sent to another hotel. An older Ramada, clean but not much else. Had to find our own transportation back to resort next morning, room was not ready till 3pm regular check in time. Our room had a view of two large electrical units and a parking lot. Daily room cleaning was minimal. One day came back to find bathroom sink running. The faucets were old and could turn all the way around. Apparently the cleaning help didn't know how to shut off after they got it on. Miami isn't bad, but wouldn't recommend this resort. They could improve on consideration for the time and money people spend for a vacation. [...], New York

Nice place to stay
We were promised a bedroom with 4 beds but were eventually given a double bed and a sofa bed. This was unexpected. Otherwise it was a nice experience overall.

Great Location and Easy to find!!
The hotel is very nice, we had a newly renovated room. We got it a a very ,very cheap rate through Orbitz that made us very happy to see how beautiful it was when we got there. The bad side to it is that you have to purchase food for breakfast , lunch and dinner. Also, you have to park through valet , and having a rental car payments and having to think about tips is not the best financial idea. But other than that, my husband, 23 month old son, 7 month old daughter, and myself had a wonderful time and we all fit in one room with one bed, comfortably!

We were right across from public bathrooms. The lobby is very cold there. we had no view. BUT, it was ok for a couple nights, AND we were by the beach and that was what we wanted.

Very Family Friendly
Newport Beachside Resort was a nice hotel in avery nice area. The lobby isreally nice as well as the pool and the beach. Beach staff wa very accomodating and the rooms were comfortable but slightly outdated. They could try to clean a little better then they do. Notthat excited with their dining options but there are many restaurants on the street and they are all very close.Thn again we are a family that likes to go to deferent restaurants when on vacation. Overall I would definetely go back . Sunny Isles is a wonderful place to stay.

My review of Newport Beachside Resort
The room decor was a little outdated and I would NEVER recommend the restaurant downstairs! The first night we ate at the restaurant on the pier and that was awesome. Other then that we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with a jacuzzi when we arrived.
