Not good, not bad

I had a good experience staying at this hotel overall. The pool is amazing and the location is great. The room is kinda old, and I had to wait for 40 min for the staff to bring me one extra towel. However, I would stay at this hotel next time I visit Miami.

Personal

In general, my experience was good. The staff was very accomodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem I had was with the toilet. I had to call maintenance just after arriving to my room. Throughout my stay, I often had to remove the toilet tank cover in order for the toilet to flush.

Good experience

The room is spacious and clean, almost full ocean view. I like the modern decoration style of the room, feels like 21 century. Parking is a bit of a pain. No free parking. If you park across the street, it's $15/night. We just chose valet parking for $20.

Not trendy value

Fairly large, clean room. Staff very pleasant and helpful from reception to pool person to bellman. Good security, nice warm, clean, sizable pool, nice beach. Location wants for a drug/grocery store or 7-11 within easy walking distance. Package of free meal and wine (which was not bad) was worth it since daily rate is good to begin with. Use Super shuttle to get to MIA-- on time, fairly cheap and courteous.

a nice hotel for its value

The hotele is nice but has some problems that take away benefits. The staff who greeted us at night was very unpleasant. The issue of monitoring bracelet and the bracelet is unpleasant. the continued prohibition, for example to take a drink at the pool is burdensome. And the restaurant of the pool is bad, so is not an alternative.

Start of Family Holiday

Check In was a nightmare as the room we had requested was not available and at one stage we were told there was no room for us. This was due we were told to the fact that we had only booked a partial view room and they only had full views available. After over 14 hours of travelling with a disabled person we had to wait around for about 30 minutes before the front desk clerk finally found us a room, as they were waiting on maintenance. It still wasn't the room we had requested. Other than that we stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and found all the other members of staff extremely helpful and courteous.

Go to IHOP on 63rd Street as they have a great menu and free parking which is unusual in Miami.

Not a luxury Resort and Spa

We arrived in the late afternoon and enjoyed a warm welcome at the reception desk. However, we were very disappointed when entering our room. The bath room was old, with cracked tiles, a broken shower head and a toilet that did not flush well. So we returned downstairs to alert maintenance. They spent more than an hour on fixing both problems, but the toilet did not flush well the rest of our staying. The last day of our stay we found a broken glass piece on the bathroom floor (very dangerous!) and we had no hot water to shower. Big disappointment! So in our point of view, this hotel is the title 'Luxury resort and spa' not worthy.
