No Frills, just great location, at an affordable price
The staff definitely did NOT go out of their way for us. The size of the room was great. There was a small kitchenette with a stove, and plates and cups. Although there was no pots or pans to use the stove with which I thought was odd. The pool was nice. There was room service although we didn't order from there. The location is what makes this hotel. If your looking for a decent place to stay, and don't plan on spending the whole time in your room this is a great place for you. Walking distance from Ocean Drive and the beach, and close to Lincoln Road.I would stay here again.

What are those flies?
The room itself could be charming if not so cheap looking. Old, restaurant-grade carpet. A thin mattress that's on par with most fold-out couches. A 12-inch TV from 1991. It's weirdly studio-apartment like in that it has a full fridge, stove and kitchen sink (?). If you're expecting base-level Holiday Inn, take your expectations down a few notches. My personal experience though was that the place was infested by little red flies or mosquitoes or something. I killed 5 in my room, then went in the hall and the light by the elevator was covered with them. It's a cheap room in a great spot, worthy of a 2 maybe even a 3 (considering the price). But the insect infestation was just too much. 1.

comfortable enough
I was very wary to book this hotel after reading the review. I would try to stay somewhere else before I booked here again. However the price was right. The hotel staff, an older woman, especially could barely say hello, though offered answers to all questions. The rooms, are carpeted and feel a bit dirty. There was old cigarette containers under my bed. My room smelled like curry, and thus all my clothing smelled like curry after a few days. I think a family had stayed and cooked in the room, My room did have a coffee pot!! a big window that I could see the sky and the ocean in the distance (through some trees), My room was quiet though the second night I stayed a couple came home at 4am and the woman yelled at the poor guy till 6 am... that only happened one night and it was very quiet afterwards. THe television was broken, the water pressure poor, internet at the hotel was expensive and the city wide "free" wifi is terrible. The pool was nice enough, I had a good swim. Its an odd place, I would stay if I couldnt find a better deal.... considering the 600 dollar a room night hotel across the street Haddon Hall is a good LOW budget option.

be careful what you expect
the room i was given upon arrival was definitely NOT even close to the representation that is on the website. It was dirty .. had bugs.. smelled.. the full kitchen had only a 2 burner stove and small fridge.. no pots and pans to cook and no microwave.. the burner on the stove would not even stay plugged in?? Had an issue with the bathtub holding water.. called the front desk and was told to put a towel in it?? the next day the manager moved us to a pool side suite.. which was much nicer and represented the pictures online much better.. there was no hot water though if the rooms next to us used them first!! the location is grat..
