Great Place to Stay
The furniture and the appliances maybe outdated, however you cant beat the location. The staff was friendly and the next time I go to Miami I would stay at the Haddon. Everything was located in walking distances. All the other hotels were charging extremely high prices and they were located on the same strip. Haddon is located in the center of everything and they will have a taxi services waiting on your departure.

Great Location but needs RENOVATION
Our family went for a beach weekend and although the location is absolutely GREAT, the hotel itself is in dire need of renovations. The carpeting is threadbare, the bed covers have been mended so many times it looks more like a crazy quilt but all of this is bearable if the bathroom wasn't so neglected and disgustingly dirty. The floor tiles have caked in grime, the tub was indescribable. Old hotels have their charm but neglected ones miss the mark completely.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Take a cooler with plenty of water and snacks to the beach which is well within a short distance from the hotel. Also- be prepared to pay $20 for parking and $50 deposit upon check-in.

Good hotel for the price
This was better than many more expensive hotels in South Beach, where funky seems to rule at the mid-low price range. My room was quite large and seemed clean and free of bugs. It had fridge and stove, cups and glasses, a table, coffee maker. Very nice to be able to bring my leftovers back to the room to eat later, plus keep cold drinks on hand. The elevator was fast, another luxury. The shower water was hot and plentiful and the hair dryer actually worked. It's not on the beach but it's close. My only complaints would be internet access which was way too expensive at $10 a day, and the fact that the air conditioner was somehow set so that it couldn't get any cooler than about 77 degrees. Coming in hot and sweaty, it's nice to be able to crank up the cool, but you can't do it here. But all in all, I was very pleased with the place for the money.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Good food can be found in every direction. For breakfast I liked going one block down 15th toward the ocean on Ocean Drive and stopping at one of the little sidewalk hotel restaurants there. Lincoln Street is about 2 blocks down Collins and has tons of great lunch and dinner restaurants. And plenty of other eateries are within blocks.

Actually Very Nice
I really enjoyed my stay at the Haddon Hall. I do plan on going back and I have nothing bad to say at all but maybe the staff could be friendlier but I guess they dont know english very well so that may have had something to do with the unfriendliness. Other than that, I loved the rooms because they have a kitchenette in them. The room is not updated or in a resort so of course it could use some work, but I wasnt there to be in the room. The pool was absolutely amazing. Biggest pool I have ever seen in an average hotel. Location is remarkable. We walked everywhere. The prices for clubs and restuarants are pretty steep but your in South Beach, dont expect to see too many cheap prices anywhere. I have no complaints and I will be back. Charged 50$ deposit but gave it right back at check out and called us a cab to airport. Orbitz was wonderful and I got a really good deal. If you are traveling on a budget, it doesnt get any better than this hotel. And the beach was Magnificent, only a hop and a skip away.

Short drive from hotel
Bayside is about 10 minute far. it is very good, nice, and cheap place to go either for shoping, recreation, eat, or drink. If you like margarita, you can have some very good at half price than South beach place.I enjoyed the place so much.

Great Experience
While the room was a little dated and could use more counter space in the bath room, overall, my stay was excellent. The hotel IS located in the middle of South Beach as stated in the hotel's description. There is a parking fee but all the hotels in the area have a fee and Haden Hall's fee was the same as the 24 hour parking lots. The room had a two burner stove and refridgerator. The pool was large and the area was nice. There were many lounge chairs. There was no restaurant or continental breakfast but many vending machines AND several grocery stores in the area.

This hotel is a great spot for those who want to party and stay in the room less. However, we had to keep asking for towels. Checkin was horrible. The hotel does not even provide free coffee.
