Grand Beach Hotel

A good hotel with excellent balcony views we had an ocean view room which took in the views of both ocean and bay from the eighteen floor.Room was large and clean bed comfy. The staff were always friendly and willing to help.The free internet was also welcome. The one draw back of this hotel was the price of drinks $10 for a small glass of white wine is ridiculous.However apart from this I found this place to be excellent value.

Very nice hotel in Miami Beach near the ocean and a 5 min ride to South Beach. The rooms are spacious with a living room and bedroom area, 2 bathrooms and 2 flat screen tv's.

We arrived early, before check in and they were BUSY!!! we had our bags held and walked one of the prettiest beaches ive seen, then had a late lunch at the hotel. We were able to check in an hour early. (yea) Our room looked exactly like the photos on the website. Classy, wonderful staff, though a couple of times we had trouble reaching room service, but it was handled quickly and efficiently. I have never had a more relaxing vacation, even though the Grand Beach Hotel was packed full of families. There was a lot of room to spread out. I loved having two bathrooms. the room was beautiful, but needs a microwave. Overall my experience would be a 4.5 out of 5!!! Will go again [...]

The Grand Beach Hotel has a wonderful location between the ocean and the bay. Our hotel balcony had gorgeous views of both. The king bed was very comfortable and the white decor very relaxing. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms and 2 tvs (one in the bed area and one in the sofa area). We spent a relaxing afternoon on the hotel's beach on comfortable cushioned recliners. The 3 pools were also delightful; one is only for adults. We enjoyed a light continental breakfast at the espresso bar. Our concierge went out of his way to assist us in tour and dinner planning. It was cheap and easy to take the local bus to South Beach. We could walk to several restaurants (Don Shula's Steak House and Carrabas). Our stay of 3 nights was too short, but very memorable.

s we spend a night in the hotel, I can not evaluate all services, but at the next opportunity would return to the hotel.

Grand Beach Hotel is very well located for the Miami and Miami Beach locales. The room we stayed in, a bayview suite, was wonderful - nice view, clean, well furnished and maintained. Food was not, however, the Grand Beach's strong suit. Ordered Room Service, but they have a lot to learn about Room Service. For example, breakfast came with toast and no butter or jam. Had asked for glasses of iced water and they were forgotten. The restaurant was okay service wise, food just ordinary. The Miami Boat Show was happening across the street from the hotel and the servers said the people working at the Show and staying at the hotel all came to breakfast at the same time - they couldn't handle the crowd very well or efficiently. Behind the hotel are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. The whole area is pretty small - and, not too many chairs were available due to space constraints. On the beach, chairs and umbrellas were $10 each and even when we came to the beach the first day with one hour to go, they were going to charge the full amount - $30 (2 chairs, 1 umbrella) for one hour - I don't think so. Beach area was nice though. Had drinks at the Lobby Bar and found it to be a pleasant experience. Concierge Anthony was very helpful suggesting restaurants and his recommendations were good.

Honesty was missing from Grand Beach hotel, when we made reservation for our trip which was for our honeymoon we were told to ask for an upgrade on arrival, but the desk clerk made an horrible remark saying are you joking me when asking for the upgrade. This was sad to me and my newly beatiful wife

Wow - all white room, 2 flat screen tvs, separate seating area, lovely comforter on the king-size bed, 2 bathrooms, and a neat little balcony with a partial view of the ocean. Pool area was gorgeous, even a separate pool area for adults. Everything (plus) we wanted. We had a great stay.

Don't get me wrong, this hotel has first class facilities, but believe me when I say *you pay for it*. A couple room service sandwiches cost us $35 bucks and they were nasty! A bottled water was $6 bucks. We laughed when we saw that the price of the breakfast buffet was $21.95 a person. Instead, we walked 30 minutes down the beach to IHOP each morning for a $14 dollar total. While the pools are gorgeous and extremely well kept, we were quite annoyed that people are allowed to come down at 6:00 am, place a towel on a chair and leave thinking they have just reserved the chair because they laid there stinking towel on it. My wife and I didn't put up with this ridiculous behavior and just simply moved towels. The people were ticked when they returned 2 or 3 hours later and saw us sitting in what they thought were there seats. We just said, "Snooze ya lose". Our tip: Save yourself the money and the headache by choosing the Gulf Coast over Miami. Not only is it more affordable, but it's more enjoyable.

This hotel is trying to be nicer than it is. The white carpets in the rooms were not exactly clean. People were smoking on the outside restaurant patio, at both pools, and on the beach. The only parking is valet and it was $25 a night. The room service was not worth the price. The breakfast buffet was $26 a person - only worth it if you eat a ton.
