Great Stay

Cool Hip Hotel. After a long night life and a short walk to the beach we just loved taking in all the beach had to offer. After we had enough went to the roof top pool which was amazing. The young ladies at the pool got the wife and I a couple of lounge chairs and we had a great relaxing day. Pool and lunch menu were great. The entire hotel staff were friendly and helpful, anything we needed or asked for was brought right away. The bed was so comfortable slept like a baby. We Highly recommend this hotel.

Modern, trendy, and super friendly!

The hotel staff was excellent and the hotel rooms, pool, and common areas were very clean! Located a block away from the beach it was location was prime. Restaurants, bars, liquor store, and groceries all in the surrounding blocks. We went to some trendy bars and clubs and didn't need a car all weekend, except to the airport and back. Thinking about making it our place to stay every 6 months! Only one con. The mood lighting in the room is cool, but it's a little hard to see when you are in the bathroom.

great find

Very SoBe boutique hotel. Great location, within short walking distance of excellent restaurants amd the beach Rooms are somewhat dark, even with the lights on. My room was adjacent to the elevator, the constant noise from it was aggravating. I liked the rooftop pool deck, although there's virtually no shade, unless one wants to fork over an additional $225 for a chaise under an umbrella. One afternoon I returned to my room and the door was open. An employee was restocking the bar and never asked me for my room key or any identification. Definitely a security lapse.

Dream is a Dream

We went to South Beach to attend a festival. We arrived early (1pm) and the staff checked us in right away!! The hotel was one block from Ocean Drive and the beach, a 2 minute walk. We were in the heart of everything!! I loved it. The staff was A-1, from the front desk to housekeeping. Everything was beautiful, exactly as it is on the website. The rooms are intimate and I recommend only to people who are close or have no inhibitions. This is a boutique hotel, they have what you need and the service is excellent!

Not so dream

Small but clean rooms. Hotel staff slow which is typical in Miami. It was obvious that the staff needs extensive training. Constant interruptions by the pool, by maintenance staff. No pool attendant on duty, disappointing service. Food quality mediocre. Overall stressful experience.

Great design, average otherwise

My wife and I stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We were both really impressed with the new and creative room/lobby/hallway designs. The hotel staff was also very friendly and warm. However, there were a few things that really bugged us. First, there is not enough light in the room! I know it was probably by design, but my wife had a hard time putting her makeup on etc. Also, the bathroom (toilet) entrance was a clear glass door! I don't mind that for the shower, but I think sometimes a little privacy on the toilet is a good thing! Lastly, the hotel staff was misinformed about a bunch of things, including restaurants, adventure/tour packages, and taxi/shuttle fees and schedules. They gave us incorrect/misleading info about airport transportation and adventure/tour packages. Also, for the money, it would have been nice to have some complimentary breakfast. I'm not sure if other hotels do this on south beach, but this should be a service provided by higher-end hotels like this one.

A Dream

Really enjoyed the Dream hotel. It had a cool feel and was 1 block from the ocean. It also wasn't noisy at night or immediately surrounded by any loud clubs or restaurants. I'd say it's a place for individual travelers or couples or good friends. The bathroom and shower setup might make it a little awkward for any or pairing. It was clean and the service was good.

Great location. Amazing in every way

This hotel was amazing it had everything you need. Me and my girlfriend stayed at the dream south beach for 5 days and as a first timer in Florida I had a blast. The hotel blew my expectations rooms kind of small but beutyful. Everything is in walking distance from shops on ocean drive to the night life a walk away from the hotel. I deffentitly recommend this hotel for couples of all ages. I want to thank the staff for their excellent service and our needs that were met with no hesitation. The mango caffe is amazing and everyone should check it out. Overall this is the best vacation I ever had and will be coming back shortly. Thank you dream south beach for an awesome hotel and thank you Miami for the experience.

Turn on the Lights!

Very clean room; great & helpful staff. The blue lighting is just too poor. Very, very dark. The bathroom should have frosting on the glass to provide some type of privacy. Minimal amenities. If you're a couple or single & you're going to be in & out of the room & you don't mind the dimly lit blue room, I would recommend staying here. I was informed that the restaurant should be completely open by 6/15/11.
