Dorchester Hotel and Suites

The hotel was not on the beach but it was a block over, perfect walking distance. It was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. The hotel was very modern. The room was comfortable and clean. I would definelty stay here again! I love Miami, and this was a perfect stay!

its conveniently located literally a block away from the beach and is very close to restaurants. the room was clean but small and the furniture was old. AC was weak and was barely cooling the room. The room we got was ok but they may have better ones. The outdoor heated 24 hour pool was good. the terrace was clean and cozy. parking fee is additional 30/night. with additional 10 resort fee per day you get beach towel umbrella and beach chairs.

The photos oversell this hotel. I am not sure where the photo above was taken, but it sure is not part of the regular hotel. Possibly it was part of the suites section, but we did not stay in the suites. No pool either, you have to go across the street to the sister hotel to use their pool - you might as well go to the beach if you are going to do that. Be forewarned, housekeeping only comes if you explicitly request it otherwise, you are told its a busy day and they will not be there. Parking is limited AND they charge you $28/day. I didn't see that anywhere on any site. Good news is, it is in a good location in the mix, but not IN THE MIX. South Beach can be loud and this gives you a break from it. It is also one block from the beach

Overall my stay was fantastic they were very helpful. The location is a little far from Ocean drive but everything is with walking distance and it was not uncomfortable at all.

Great Location which sums up the pro's. Con's --terrible mattress, very small bathroom, very noisy window A/C, no coffee maker, etc.

Very convenient to Convention Center. Across the street from places I would rather be. Spacious suite-large bedroom and living room, though sparcely furnished. Dining area, kitchenette, and balcony overlooking the other rooms (i.e. no view) Bar and outdoor seating area functional. Bed not comfortable. Dumpster out front. (Strike 3)

I will never return to this hotel. The staff is somewhat rude except when it comes to them taking your money. The elevator is dirty and the rooms are small. The pool is small and is 3 ft all over. The hotel is far from the shops and restaurants.

I traveled with my Boyfriend and Stayed at this Hotel for 5 Days and 4 nights. I have nothing bad or negative to say about this Hotel. Everything was Great. The room was ready and Clean and very Nice too. People are very friendly. The location is Great. Its literally Walking Distances to Lincoln Rd Mall, Washington Ave and Ocean Dr. The Beach is 1 block up. I am Def. going back again and Staying at this Hotel. I recommend it.

[...]. I was duped into having to park 2 blocks away and paying $90 up front for parking. I was told I was upgraded to a suite that I paid for. It was disappointing lets just say a 60's apartment with a few alleged upgrades, ok wood floor in the living room. Warm AC, bad wifi access, roaches in kitchen, nasty bed and bedding. I was so excited to have a weekend to myself to find that it was kids partying all night and the little bit that I slept I awoke with bites all over and blood on the sheet and pillow case and my T shirt and socks. I immediately packed my stuff and went down stairs saw the house keeper and told her that there were bugs in my room and I had been bitten. Not sure if she under stood me. I went into the lobby and no one was at the desk. I was so embarrassed because of the bites and the people were looking at me. I just kept walking outside and walked the two blocks to get my car. I immediately called the airline to change my flight and it went down hill from there. Worst weekend and Worst Hotel ever. I called the hotel later on that day to ask why I was not called back and was told that she had not been made aware. After I explained she said she would go and take a look and call me back. I want to be reimbursed for my trip, parking and inconvenience. What an awful way to spend a vacation.
