Crystal Beach Suites Hotel

great price but 10 min from south beach. The elevators did not work an we thought we were going to get stuck in one when we finally got the nerve to use one since it sucked carrying luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs. I will never stay again.

The pool was nice and beach access was easy. Kids enjoyed easy going back and forth. The rooms were clean but need updating, old furniture, old cabinets but overall ok. We enjoyed our stay.

Old furnishings, and not much of a view from the room. I was shopping by price, so I did not expect much. If shopping by price, this will probably do.

Title says it all; this hotel is a great value... if you're traveling with children. It's most definitely the cheapest suite you'll find on Miami Beach and the room is pretty clean. Pool area is not the nicest looking but it's right on the beach. The bed was not good and there were not enough pillows, and the ones that were provided were pretty terrible. But.... you can't get a cheaper full suite with a kitchenette on the Beach.

The hotel was not that cozy, you are reminded that you are not in your own home. There are some staff members that are a bit aloof. Overall, the best part of my stay was finding a boutique nail salon that was within walking distance that did an exceptional job on our nails and toes. Although I did not use the gym too frequently, the equipment was great!

We went for the beach and ocean. We weren't too fussy about the hotel when we chose. Seeing the negative reviews almost made me go somewhere else, but we had a good experience. At our arrival there was a problem with the room, which we received an upgraded room with oceanview to compensate the fact we had to repack our stuff and move. The staff were genuinely friendly. The place shows its age, but when we book a room we want good clean rooms with friendly atmospheres, and that's what we got. We are not planning on going back to Miami Beach, but would not hesitate to stay there again. Would be better if it were located closer to South Beach though.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was awesome! We walked right out of the entrance onto the beach, it was a really great experience!

Staff was kind but not very helpful, they had no knowledge of what was going on in Miami and how to get around. When asked for a cab they recommended going out side and wave for one. They tired to keep the place clean but too many holes and cracks everywhere. Elevators were small and slow & always having maintenance done. we pretty much took the stair every time. The rooms were dirty and missing necessary items, like coffee pots- remotes- blankets & cleaning materials. The shower doors were broken and falling off. when I called to have them fixed they replied that the repair man was not coming in till Tuesday. great location bad hotel.

My wife and I stayed at Crystal Beach Suites two years ago. We were a bit wary of some of the negative reviews, but we found the hotel to be very nice. We returned this past week two years later with our 17-month-old daughter. This is a great place for families with young kids--the separate sleeping space works well. Also, we cooked many of our meals in the room. There is a pool and the hotel is on the beach. It's close to Publix supermarket, restaurants, bakeries. There a couple of playgrounds within a 10 minute walk. Our daughter also loved walking around the lobby (she has just started walking). The staff are friendly and helpful and it really is an affordable place to stay. The decor is a bit dated but in the big picture, that is not so important to us.
