Continental Oceanfront South Beach - Miami

Tried to check in early and they said to come back at normal check in time at 4pm. They didn't say at the time the air conditioning was broke since 9am, so I could have tried to find another hotel. Air conditioning was not fixed until midnight which was a big inconvenience. The halls smelled like cat urine. This hotel needs to be knocked down or completely renovated. Perfect location but that's it!

i got in early for a 24 hour trip to miami, couldnt checkin, was offered a bathroom to freshen up and change in, no checkin til 4, i ended up not even using my bed

i was only going to be in miami for 24 hours, i got in sat morning, no checkin til 4pm, i had an entire day of activities, so i was offered a bathroom to get ready again, so many people came in after me, and all turned away, it was awful, and i checked out at 3am, having not even used the bed $99 a waste

Ive been working for two hotels for about 7 years and this hotel made me appreciate my hotels sooo much more. Rooms smelled bad. The bed sheets and covers were stained and broken. They gave us the crappiest view. They have a bar that's never open. Only good thing was the pool and the easy access to the beach.

The staff was very helpful. The room was very drab and outdated. They are in the process of remodeling. I was a little taken aback when I had to go get my own towels because they did not give me enough in the room. They did not have the staff to bring it up to me. Hopefully, when the hotel is remodeled, it will look better. The furniture had holes in it. The beds were hard.

My friend put it best." If your 20 something year old guy who is only going to use the room to come home drunk late at night and knock out ...its perfect." All else beware.

Hotel dirty, not worth overnight stay. Upon checking into room, it was apparent bedsheets and towels we not washed from previous visitor. did not complete stay - checked out immediately.

I did not received what I paid for so I moved to another hotel.

Very good location in South beach that in the end is very important if you don't want to use a car (for most of the time) while staying in Miami. Room was decent. As a whole good value. Of course not as classy as what you get if you pay a lot more and stay in the hotels next door. No parking provided but two different parking garages on walking distance.

I read the reviews before booking, but could not believe it was that bad. Well yes, it was. This looked like a haunted,neglected, beat up , nuclear disaster hotel. How sad I spent this money ...would have paid a little more and maybe would have slept in peace. The hallways are a mere residue of a long time ago maybe pleasant place to stay. The paint is chipping , the furniture was unusable. there were holes in the cushions that exposed the dirty guts of old dilapidated chairs. I you decide to go...??!! Take cleaning supplies and disinfectant sprays, esp. if you have kids. No parking, only if you want valet. Not worth it. Pool area horribly neglected. Lobby-sad! Save your money and go somewhere else. Only good thing is the location. If you still want to book.. take your own sheets and pillow cases..slobber on pillows from other guest..P.S. Heavier persons will not fit on the toilet !Well I can go on but hope you get the message... :(
