Colony Hotel

OMG! It was the best time ever. The hotel staff is very nice. [...]took good care of us while we were there. He is a great guy. [...] as well. The room was very nice and clean. I will definitely go back to that hotel. I didn't want to leave. They treat you like family. Thanks [...].

There's no full length mirror or ocean views but the room is nice, clean, and close to WET WILLIES! Same block. Cheapest breakfast, $3.95 and good DJ spinning out front on Saturday. Can't complain. I love Miami. Go with the right person....

This hotel is in a prime location. It doesn't get much better than this. The room itself was nice, modern, however the hallway looked a bit dingy. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything going on outside. The view from the room was of an alley in between the building next to us where the dumpsters are located...smell was gross. ***Beware...NO CELLULAR or INTERNET SERVICE IN THE ROOMS***This was our biggest regret about staying here. THe front desk said he "isn't sure" why the internet doesn't work in the rooms but I should go into lobby to use my labtop...which makes no sense since website advertises internet in all rooms. Front desk staff was stand-offish which isn't welcoming and I didn't like at all. With so many choices in SoBe I will most likely stay elsewhere next time.

Overall, the hotel was alright. The thing you must remember is you are paying for location, location, location, not amenities. My initial room had no closet and no hooks on the wall to hang clothes. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. Only a bed, dresser and TV/DVD. This was a vacation trip and we wanted to be in walking distance of the beach which we were. The staff was super nice and helpful. You are right across the street from the beach. You are in walking distance of just about any type of food and beverage you want. Entertainment is in walking distance of the hotel. I would recommend and will stay at this hotel again.

Party, party, party!!!!

The staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a great location. It did help that it was Super Bowl weekend. They cost of valet parking was a bit high, but I'm not sure that it was the regular price. DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT AT THE HOTEL....IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE, AND NOT VERY GOOD.

I was very skeptical to stay at The Colony Hotel due to the mixed reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in a received a window room overlooking the beach, not a standard room which I paid for. I was happy to find NO bed bugs and working AC. When I could not turn the TV on, the front desk sent someone up to help. They could not fix the TV so they moved our room next door to the Hibiscus Suite which was wonderful. It had a walk in closet, living room, jacuzzi tub, and great views. I would not stay here for a family vacation, but it was a great location for spring break or night life in general. The beach is directly across the street and everything is within walking distance.

Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Good value in a perfect location! Nothing overly fancy about it but it was cozy, clean, nice tv/beds etc. Rooms are a bit small if you want 2 beds but who cares because how much time do you spend in your room in south beach anyway?? Would definitely stay again!

Great location for the price. The rooms were clean and cozy. The ac wasn't as good as it should be but good enough. It was not as noisy as we thought it would be for being on ocean drive. If you don't have very loud neighbors, it's great. It doesn't have a pool or anything resort like but at least there is no resort fee. It's close to restaurants and 15 mins to good clubs. Nice hotel.
