Collins Hotel

It's a good hotel to sleep and park your car without delays (you park and get your car by your own, so no delay). The rooms are really clean, no luxury but is ok to take a shower and sleep. The staff are really friendly.

I am unsure at this point whether it was this website's fault, or the hotel's fault, but it was a complete disaster since we arrived. First, our reservation was NO WHERE to be found. My fiance and I spent a total of an FORTY FIVE MINUTES in the hotel lobby, trying to "check in". First they were trying to get a hold of this website to locate the reservation. Once the reservation was located, (that they had already hung up with customer service) then the credit card number they had on file for this website kept being declined. This was about another 20-30 minutes of wait time. Then, we had to go on 3 separate occasions to try out the room key because they continuously kept giving us a key that would not open the door. Plus the hotel manager was rude with a nasty attitude. The only reason we stayed is because we had an event we needed to attend to in the next 45 minutes and needed to get ready so we had no other choice as we were pressed on time. THE WORST PART is that since they were either too lazy or stupid to figure out how to give us our proper room key, they gave us the maid's key (which opens any and all rooms). Thank GOODNESS my fiance and I are not delinquents and did not take advantage of this but if they do this with anyone, your belongings are NOT SAFE. AWFUL. EITHER THIS WEBSITE NEEDS TO BE BETTER ABOUT SENDING RESERVATIONS TO HOTELS OR THIS HOTEL NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT!!!

the room was clean,and neat, the staff was helpfull and friendly.our room,and bed,was very comfortable.the hotlel,is smaller than the other hotels.but that what i like about it.there is a small parking fee.but its securty,is good.its near to shopping,and the beach is just across the street.i would recommed this hotel.

everything was very good. Some smell in the room, probably from the AC or maybe from recent renovations. Blanket is too hot for Miami and no comforters but these are just minor issues

Simple, but nice hotel, but during my staying guests made too much noisy and walls are not sound proof

PLUSES: Nice comfortable beds, very clean sheets, towels, ect. All the staff was very helpful and nice. MY COMPLAINS: 1) Very noisy air conditioner; 2) Maids are a bit noisy and talkative, forgetting there could be people still resting next door when they come to service a room. Easy problem to fix. If management takes note of these details, we'll be happy to go back.

we were surprised because there was a surcharge for parking the vehicule don,t forget to tell the customers about the renovation still on the way

We visited both North and South Beach, the hotel is in the perfect area, clean hotel, nice people, and when i go again i plan on staying there.

Hotel was average. No wireless in rooms! I have to go and sit in lobby! Rooms were average. Cheap beds. Great place to stay on a budget.

Just stayed at this hotel. It´s ok and undergoing some renovation, hence me saying that this summer it will be ok. It´s a shame that they don´t mention this anywhere when booking and all the fotos show the new rooms, not the ones currently in use. But, the staff are really friendly, the room we had was clean and at the end of the day it´s just somewhere to keep ya stuff and sleep. You can´t use the beach across from the hotel due to the infestation of parasites from the cats, obviously not the hotels fault...but again it´s something that isn´t mentioned anywhere unless you search for it....look it up on google. All in all and cheap and cheerful hotel, i would go back.
