Excellent Front Desk.....thats pretty much it.
I stayed here with my boyfriend and the front desk staff was very polite and helpful. Once we got to the room it looked way more beat up then the pictures they currently have put up and I dont even know how old those are. The beds were somewhat clean that first night but the cleaning staff was serverly lacking when it came to knowing what it takes to have a clean room. Besides that the price and location were amazing.

Good Value
There are two kinds of hotels at South Beach, 70-year-old buildings that are close to original, and those that have been gutted and made into luxury hotels. There is a great difference in prices. Fortunately, the ones that haven't been remodeled offer those of us on a limited fixed income the ability for a getaway to South Beach. Contrary to some of the reviews, I found the staff to be more than polite and courteous.

Do not stay here
This was the worst hotel that I have ever been at. Didn't even stay there one night. I checked in and left within an hour. The room was dirty and smelly. I would not stay here if they paid me. The sheets were yellow and the bathroom was dirty.

Not as good as it looks !
Twin beds instead of queens as the booking mentioned. Torn towels with big holes and none available to get a replacement. Resort fee of $10 for a cup of coffee in the morning and the use of wifi in the lobby ! That's a bit too much !

I stay in South Beach every week
I stay in South Beach every week so I know the hotel in the city well. While this isnt the worst one Ive stayed at, it is by far the worst for the money. You can get a nicer hotel for much cheaper and an amazingly superior hotel for less than 20 dollars a night more. Incredibly dirty (I slept on top of the blankets in shorts and a tee-shirt and im not the picky type) and rude staff (they spend more time on the phone planning their evening than helping customers). Avoid the Claremont its just not worth it.
