Great boutique hotel!
Very nicely decorated boutique hotel right in the middle of everything. Definitely recommend. The bartender was very chatty and helped us get a deal for an evening out starting with cocktail hour at one of their sister hotels and then a limo ride to an old Miami club. Had a great time!

Chelsea has really nice rooms
Very nice rooms, nice staff and a no-nonsense atmosphere. The free drinks between 7 and 8 may outweigh the obligatory extra daily fee of 15 USD you have to pay in addition to the Hotel Room fee, i.e. when you manage to get there on time. Don't forget to pay the bargirl an extra tip for each 'free'drink, as she seems to depend on that completely...strange world!

Chelsea Hotel
Nice stay at hotel. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and decent. No frills. The rooms were sound-proof enough not to hear other people in adjacent rooms or loud music in the hallways coming from the rooms. Close proximity to South Beach attractions/clubs.

SoBe Trip!!
Me and my best friend booked a hotel and flight package [...]. We stayed in SoBe for 6 days and 5 nights the first week of June. Despite all the gossip the weather wasn't that bad at all going in the summer. I read a lot of reviews from a lot of hotels in the area before making my choice and this one was by far the best. The room photos on the website do not give them justice as to how they look in person. Our room felt wayyyy more luxorious than what we paid for it. The decor was very nice. We absolutely LOVED the shower because it had a mirror as one wall. It was very different but double as a full length mirror for checking out outfits before going out. Our beds we sooooo comfortable to sleep in and the blankets were so soft. We had to force ourselves out of them every the morning. If you are going to SoBe to have fun you will love their sound system because it gets so LOUD and there is a port to connect your ipod!! The only tricky thing was working the shower, you had to spin it for a while to get it to the right temperature. There is a mini fridge with alcohol and other drinks in the room. However, we took them out and bought our own for our stay to save money. We put there's back in when we left. There is also microwave in the basement so if you eat out and need to re-heat stuff the next day you will have that to do so. I loved that the front desk gave us beach towels everyday as well as club passes. Only 1 or 2 club passes actually get you in free, the rest get you to the front of the line and it can cost $20-$30 for entry which for us was very expensive to charge for cover. One of the free clubs was "SoBe Live" which is right down the street. It was very fun and the music was awesome!! Warning, the music is extremely LOUD which is probably the same at any club in SoBe. It took me 2 days to fully get my hearing back. Also, the club we went to had pole dancers, no nudity though just bras and thongs. Happy hour was great! And if you like your drinks strong you will love it. I had to ask them to make them light for me because I am a light weight when it comes to drinking but they listen and it is definitely worth going to since its free. Lastly, the beaches are beautiful but just a warning you have the option of being topless. Luckily, the ppl that choose to do this were few. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in SoBe.

Cozy Hotel
Chelsea is located few blocks from the beach. Overall it's a clean and a cozy hotel. Rooms are a bit small, but the beds/pillows are very comfortable and make up for that. Front desk/bar staff were very nice and accomodating and arranged taxi service for us etc. Rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided. However, I travelled with a friend, and the only issue we had was when we asked for a room with 2 double beds, to our surprise they wanted to charge us $40 per night for this. Not very convenient, wouldn't have booked this hotel if that was stated before hand. Good for couples, not great for singles sharing a room together.

Disgusting facility!
The staff was really kind but this hotel is disgusting. I couldn't wait to get up the following morning to leave. The hallways and rooms are dank, dark and have a damp odor. There were bugs in my shower. The parking was $30 per day. I was shocked. For $130 I could've stayed at a safe, clean well know hotel chain on the mainland. As a woman I did NOT feel safe.

Chelsea
Had a great time in Miami and the Chelsea hotel is located in the heart of it all. Unfortunately, on the first day there were unexpected daily fees that didn't offer complementary continental breakfast or any special amenities. Our room was cute but the days after it seemed like only our bed was made up and nothing else was cleaned in the room. Every day we had to request either towels to toilet paper- which are the essentials. The happy hour served watered down drinks. The only relic I got to take was the South beach carring bag.

Unbeatable location for the price"
This was my 6th time at South Beach and I know I will stay at The Chelsea again. The room was clean and the robes came in handy after a nice cool shower. The location was perfect!...just two blocks from the beach!

Worth it!
All in all no major complaints. The front desk staff was very helpful and accomodating. The hotel was decent. The decor is dark and a little dreary especially in the hallway, but the rooms were clean and served their purpose. This was a quick girls getaway, and my first time to Miami. I was there to relax and party as much as possible. In that respect, the hotel was perfect. The location was great! A short walk to everything- food, clubs and the beach, which is all I needed. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice tv and radio, but the closet is small, and so we didnt even bother unpacking. The major thing the room was missing was a long mirror, which is an easy fix, the hotel should consider. We stayed in room 310 so noise was not a problem at all. The free happy hour is cool, but of course it's bottom shelf liquor, but it's still a perk, as is the free airport shuttle, but it does stop running at midnight. You won't leave with the pampered feeling you get at a resort, but it's not a resort, so if your expectations are on track you won't be disappointed. Would stay there again, would recommend to others.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
The majority of the clubs are on Washington and therefore walking distance. Just make sure to ask what type of music will be played on the nights you go out. You will be bombarded with flyers telling you this info so pay attention so that you're not disappointed. There's something for everyone. Most of the clubs are free for ladies before a certain time usually 12 or 1 am, so don't miss out!
