Great location in South Beach and value
We had a great time at the Century Hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the location - right across the street from the beach and close to a lot of restaurants and shops on Ocean Drive, Collins and Washington. The room was nice - good air conditioning, free wifi and fridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They watched our bags so we could hit the beach after checking out and then come back and change clothes before heading to the airport. Continental breakfast was ok. If you want a big breakfast check out Big Pink one block away. One thing to know is that if you have a room on the side of the building, you will hear some street noise--voices of people walking by, a garbage truck in the am, etc. Definitely not a deal breaker for us, but just something to be aware of. Overall, this place was a great value!

Check out China Grill (a few blocks away). AMAZING food, especially the calamari salad.

We stayed one night after a cruise.
We stayed one night after a cruise. We got to the hotel about 10:30 am, they held our luggage until the room was ready. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, water was hot. Continental breakfast had cereal, bagels, toast, muffins, coffee, juice. Our flight wasn't until 8:15pm so they held our luggage while we explored South Beach. Overall a very nice experience. KarenL

Century Hotel Mediocre at it's best
Good location. The room had a view of a wall, couldn't open the windows. Split unit AC inside the room was very loud. There was a dirty tissue paper in the corner of the room when I got there. It was still there 3 days later when I left.

Century Hotel SoBe
Century Hotel is great. Right across the street from the beach and on the edge of the action in SoBe, so it's a little quieter than places in the middle of it all. They gave me passes to skip the line at a local club, and a chair and umbrella to take to the beach. There is a fridge with a minibar which is really expensive, but you can stock it with stuff from the market around the corner.

Nightlife tip:
Long walk from hotel
If you don't mind walking about 12-15 blocks you'll be fine, but cabs are cheap and plentiful. Don't drive, the traffic and parking are a nightmare.
