The Ugly truth

The hotel was not very clean. The room was big but the furniture is very old and almost destroyed. It seems that they dont renovate the hotel very often.[...]

Horrible experience...European Queen??

The hotel parking sucks! They don't have many parking spots and they charge you $25 a night extra for parking. The "queen" size beds they advertise are "European queen" which equates to "American full size" beds. In addition to the $25 charge for parking they charge you a $10 service fee. The bathrooms are falling apart and the place is not worth the cost! Would never go there again!

Arrive at Carlton on 10/09/09: While checking in was given a check off list that was as long as the Shuttle's check off list before take off: The staff not cordial very short answers to questions: Room 209 was my room...very small for a deluxe room...closet had a moldy scent. Stand up showers...wow..what convenience..I have seen better bath rooms in Motels...BREAKFAST Continental style: Ha..check this out..at 7 am the Bar is closed and on the said Bar you have Cereal Coffee tea to go with Bagels Croissant...continental style..I have had continental breakfast at hotels from the Caribbean to London..the Carlton's should call theirs LOW BUDGET breakfast.. I will not recommend the Carlton to my dog SPRITE: Unbelievable.........

Good & BAd

First of all, The hotel itself looked nice but inside everything was falling apart. Dirty furniture, Paint peeling off the walls, most staff was unecessarily rude. The rooms were ridiculously small... The bathrooms were old and outdated. They had a minibar inside the closet. The best thing about it was that the ac was working and the beds were comfortable. On our last day the housekeeping lady just barged in without knocking and it wasnt check out time yet with the occupied sign outside the door.. The Hotel looked nothing like the pics on the website.

it's ok

most of the time I was out and came back to the hotel only to sleep. The location is great, the staff is friendly. The building is old and in spite of the efforts for a modern feel, it's still worn, but decent.
