Mediterranean sophistication at South Beach boutique hotel

This 75-room boutique hotel differentiates itself from other South Beach properties as more classically Mediterranean in style than Art Deco. The hotel turns on the charm with striped awnings and hand-painted tiles. It is close to South Beach clubs, boutiques, galleries and shops. Quiet courtyards, an outdoor splash pool and cascading waterfall paint the picture of a lovely tropical retreat. A martini bar sets the scene for afternoon and evening cocktails.

Blue Moon Hotel

Undergoing refit. Website offered free airport shuttle - $ 84 value. Not available - no refund !! Should not get away with it. Drinks etc. very expensive but the area is too.

Art Deco gem on South Beach

The location couldn't be better. The staff is welcoming, attentive, polite, and friendly. The room was well-appointed and immaculate. Breakfast is served in a pleasant room with an outside patio option and water snacks and coffee are available all day. Parking is valet and off-site, but fairly reasonable. We would definitely stay here again!

De Rodriquez Cuban restaurant at 101 Ocean in the Hilton Hotel is gourmet and unusual food with friendly wait staff and a terrific bartender. Ceviche was outstanding as were the Cojitos!

Blue Moon Hotel in South Beach was better than expected!

Overall, we had a great experience. The location is great! It's 1 block away from the beach & only a block or 2 away from my favorite spots (Clevelander, Mangos, Wet Willies..etc). The hotel was clean & comfortable & the staff was friendly & helpful. The only complaints we had was that the rm we were in (rm 111) wasn't the best rm to be in. The pool area is right outside, so we could hear the other guest when they were out there & we couldn't open our curtains or we'd be seen. It was also right across from the employee lounge so we heard every time they went in & out. The was also a garbage pick up EARLY every morning & the trucks were loud! Other than that, I highly reccommend staying at this hotel!

Make use of the daily breakfast they provide! It's a good little buffet of food, it saves you the time & effort of having to go out looking for a place to eat, and you get charged for it at the end of your stay anyway.

clean room

the blue moon was a nice hotel. the room itself is small, but i can't complain the room was very clean. the staff was very nice and helpful, always greeting you. the only thing i did not like was the way my room was in another building, we had to walk outside (but it's a cover area) and through another door to get to our room. and the elevator is very tiny, but overall it was cool

I was very impressed with the

I was very impressed with the hotel room given the price I paid. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel is fantastic, very central in South Beach in beautiful Art Deco area. The pool was disappointing - too warm and very small. The hotel bar had no atmosphere. All in all though a good base. I would stay again if I got a good price.

Great hotel

Awesome hotel with great staff. It's less than 5 minutes from the beach and within walking distance to all the hot spots in South Beach. Staff is really friendly and helpful and rooms are clean.

South Beach in 1 day

PRIME SPOT right around corner from all the restaurants, Mango's woohoo!!! very friendly atmosphere... room was fairly clean.. not to crazy about hair in sink or hanging off the vanity (was not my hair). Room very small NOT for a family, my 17 yr old had to sleep on the floor baby slept in bed with us. I requested a rolling bed when i booked my stay but when i got there was told "this particular hotel" did not have any available told me i had to go to another hotel which was further away.

Great hotel, excellent location

Great hotel, excellent location and rooms just a block from all the action in South Beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast to start the day was ok. Good size rooms and prices are good for the area. Perfect location close to the action but nice and quiet.

Close to the Beach!!!

Walking distance to shopping, and drugstores. One block away from the beach. Restaurants all around.
