Great location ... Small room

My initial contact with the staff at The Clay was excellent. The staff is probably one of the most the friendly I've encountered. The room was extremely small, but fine for me since I was staying there by myself. I had the standard room with one queen bed. Speaking of the bed, I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. It was hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was nice and looked like it had recently been updated. I went to South Beach to lounge on the beach and party so I'm not real picky about rooms. This room served its purpose and was decent. The location is excellent, walking distance to the beach, shops and great resturants. I would stay here again.

Basic getaway

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and room was available prior to our scheduled check-in which helped after coming in from a cruise. Downsize of it was no elevator while having to carry luggage up several flight of stairs Room were nice and clean nothing fancy while convenient to restaurants.

GREAT LOCATON FUNKY SMELL

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION .... GREAT PLACE TWO BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE BEACH ... NEXT TO MANY SHOPS ALL WALKING DISTANCE. WE CHECKED IN NO PROBLEM GAVE US THE KEY TO ARE ROOM WE HAD TO CARRY ARE BAGS UP, NO ELEVATOR . GOT TO ARE ROOM LOOKED NICE BUT FUNKY MOLD SMELL. HAD TO GO TO CVS AND BUY SOME CANDELS FOR THE ROOM. BESIDES THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.. CLEAN ROOM EVERYDAY NEW TOWELS AS WELL. FLAT SCREEN TV WITH CABLE CHANNELS . BATHROOM WAS KIND OLD BUT DID ITS JOB . I BRING A GAINT BOTTLE OF LYSOL TO ANY HOTEL AND SPRAYED THAT SUCKER DOWN JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT . ARE ROOM WAS ON THE CORNER STREET WITH TWO PATIOS . IF YOUR A LIGHT SLEEPER IT WILL BE HARD TO SLEEP THER ARE MANY PLACES AROUND THAT AREA THAT PLAY MUSIC UNTIL 4 AM . SO I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON... ALSO HAD TO PAY 19 BUCKS A DAY FOR PARKING BUT THATS ANYWHERE U GO IN SOUTHBEACH . OVERALL I LIKED MY STAY AND WILL COME BACK FOR SURE... .
