Dramatic Miami International Airport hotel set on a blue lagoon
Executive travelers with an eye for design will feel at home at this European-style hotel. The 218-room property is set on a picturesque blue lagoon. The building captivates with bold details such as a grand tiled lobby with red leather club chairs and a wrought-iron banister and Art Deco lighting fixtures. "Charming and exotic atmosphere"
We were able to check-in immediately upon arrival. The bell-hop was honest about already being tipped. Liked that dining room.

Great hotel for value
The hotel is obviously older but it has everything you could need. The room was clean and good size for us with 2 children. The kids had a great time in the waterfall pool. They also had room to move around in the hotel room which was nice. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

you will have to go off the property for food options for a family. Other than that it was a good place!

Classical setting,congenial staff
We had a late night check-in due to an overnight connection at the airport, and had to leave early the next morning for an international flight. The staff was very gracious and helpful even during these late hours.

Great Airport Hotel

Sofitel Miami not quite Sofitel stuff
I've stayed at Sofitel Chicago and absolutely loved it, so I was surprsied that Sofitel Miami was not as spectacular. The hotel is old, and the staff was not nearly as attentative as the staff at the Chicago hotel. On the plus side, the location is excellent (a shuttle takes you to and from the airport in under 10 minutes) and the rooms theselves are spacious, clean and comfortable.
