The location of the Rodeway Inn in Miami is ideal whether you fly in to Miami International Airport or Ft. Lauderdale International Airport. We are only five miles to the beaches, 4.2 miles from the Sun Light Stadium and two miles from Oleta River State Park.

Reservations System Fail

The biggest and most problematic issue we experienced during our two night stay was the hotel's billing/reservations system. We booked our stay online, but they were experiencing such ridiculous difficulties with their reservation system that on the first night we had to wait for over an hour to check into our room the second morning, we again had to wait (this time for just under an hour forty-five...we timed it...) for the front desk to find and secure our reservation for a second night. This problem was being experienced by tons of other irritable guests all clustered in the lobby the staff did not handle it very well and were not very kind or thoughtful to the guests. The next morning, for instance, we were woken up repeatedly by housekeeping and calls from the front desk after four calls, they asked my husband to come down, which is where the hour and forty-five count began. I actually had to demand in person that they continue working to find our reservation in their system and keep our room untouched for us while we went about the rest of our planned day without requiring us to just loiter in the lobby (as no amount of showing them our reservation on our laptops and phone apps, or our room keys seemed to convince anyone of our legitimacy) since it was now lunchtime. That seems like pretty basic hotel management to me. If we hadn't pre-paid, we would've been out of there immediately...and were actually considering just calling it a loss and going somewhere else once things began to get so ridiculous... I totally get that there might be some issues with reservations systems from time to time, but that is not a problem that should be passed on to the guests of an establishment visitors who are obviously visiting because they have plans should not be virtually held captive while the staff sorts out their issues. Since this was seemingly affecting everyone staying there who had booked online, there should have been a procedure in place to at least store luggage or some such while everyone went about their plans. And for an inconvenience that extensive and time-consuming, I think discounts on the stays should have been offered. In fact, if it had just happened the first night I probably would've chalked it up travel inconvenience -- two days in a row, however, indicates a systemic problem in management.

Average hotel

Not a bad hotel, rooms are ok, and the restaurant is also ok. The big problem there is the internet service, which id very poor low speed and bad coverage anywhere in the hotel.

You get what you pay for

It probably is one of the cheapest deals you can get in Miami, but the whole third floor smells like goat oil. I wonder if it used to be an Islamic restaurant or a goat cheese manufacturer. Anyway, the bathroom looks unclean and the whole room needs to be refurbished.

Awful Place I Ever Been In My Life

The experience was awful. 2 hours to check in. The staff is real rude. I told them the tv doesn't work. The guy told me I shouldn't need a tv this time of night. The worse experience in my life.

Great Personal Trip

I was there for my personal trip and I really had a nice trip there. The location is good enough for the price. They have large free parking lots but a little too dark during deep night. Everything is good enough for me except that air conditioner is a little noisy.
