Family-friendly hotel near South Beach with pools and breakfast buffet
All-inclusive travelers might know the name Riu from past vacations, but this Miami Beach property is different with bookings including room only. The 284-room hotel has direct beach access, an adult and children's swimming pools and a poolside bar and grill. An extensive breakfast buffet -- which includes on the spot cooking stations -- draws the regulars and guests can pay separately. South Beach's major attractions, from the Art Deco District to Lincoln Road Mall, are less than two miles away.

RUDE STAFF
front desk service SUCKS!! I will never stay in this hotel, rude people, over priced, deceiving advertisement, NO FREE WI-FI its $5,50/hr, charged me $40 for one night of parking for A SCOOTER!!

Bad breakfast!!
I had to go to rest room in lobby 4.30a.m. because in room toilet was not flushing out. Totally bad experience.

Great family weekend
Loved the pool area, the beach, the staff. The building is a little bit old, needs some renovations but nothing that bothered us at all. Great family post-cruise weekend.

love a great deal
GREAT LOCATION
Went for a quick getaway. Great location...the staff was not as friendly as other hotels i've been to but. Prepare to wait for valet for more than 5 minutes. Pool and beach service was good. Room was clean, tub in bathroom had some wear and tear but overall not bad for the price.

good place to stay in miami beach
the hotel is right at the sea and the beach is really nice - also the pool area with the bar is ok. the hotel lobby, inside bar and dining area are too old fashioned but ok. the staff is friendly. the rooms are old but have been renewed with some accesoires. the seaview from our balcony was really great. all in all the hotel is more than ok for this price. for going downtown it takes You along the sea about 30 minutes, so it´s better to go by bus or taxi which are both close to the hotel.

The only nice thing I can say about this hotel is the guys at the valet desk. The guy at the front desk that checked me in was rude. The hotel is outdated. Very limited wine selection in the bar. Huge parking fee. They charge for internet. The view from my room was terrible. The rooms next to me on both sides had patios but mine didn't. I went to get ice (on a different floor) and that was out of order. I went back down to the front desk to check out. I will be asking to be reimburse me for this hotel. After I left I noticed one of my shopping bags was missing. I've never been more disappointed in a hotel and I travel often.

Hotel staff - from the moment we pulled up to the valet - was poor... and then they wanted to know our nationality... never going back there again. I've had great experiences with the Riu hotels in Mexico...
