Regency Hotel Miami

Were here for 3 days while on business. The hotel itself has seen better days, (found previous guest's thongs hanging in shower). However, the staff is friendly and helpful. Very close to airport (noisy on balcony). If you don't speak spanish, bring a translator. The entire area, including the hotel, PREFERS to speak spanish.

Very close to the airport and provide free shuttle ride to the Port of Miami. The rooms and amenities are okay and what is expected of the rates they charge which is cheaper as compared with other hotels in that area, reasonable for a night stay. The printer at the Business Center still don't work (as I've read from other reviews) but an accomodating hotel staff, her name is Patricia, helped me out to print our boarding passes from her office. Thanks again, Patricia and to the bellman and van drivers.

It was very quiet and the staff was very friendly. But the room was very warm and muggy for at least the first 3 hours that we were there. Beyond that, the only problem was the wireless internet. Even after they gave us the password, it still would not work in our room.

We actually stayed at the Shelley Hotel in south beach, it was horrible! Regency was the closest hotel we found for a decent price. It was decent enough and conveniently located right by the high way. Service staff were friendly and helpful.

Close to airport for overnight connection. Not flash, but good value for money.

This hotel claims they have 24 hour shuttle service that operates every 30 min. My husband and I arrived at the shuttle area outside the airport and the shuttle would not take us because they already a full load. We were told that the next shuttle was already en route to the airport. We ended up waiting over an hour for the next shuttle. After waiting 30 min I called the hotel and was told the shuttle was on its way. When it didn't arrive I kept calling. The person at the hotel would not answer the phone on several attempts, and then I was constantly blown off. When the shuttle did arrive it was over an hour of waiting. The next morning we were able to sign up for the shuttle service to the pier for an NCL cruise. This shuttle service was efficient. Also, if you're hungry and like seafood there is an awesome place right next door to the hotel. Great prices and great food! Also, if you want the continental breakfast at the hotel you will be required to pay $10 per person. I thought this was a bit pricey for a continental breakfast. Another thing: this hotel has a club on the bottom floor that goes until 6am. We could hear the loud thump-thump from the music until 6am.

It is a nice hotel for a nice price. For a night or 2, it is OK.

We chose this hotel sight unseen. It was close to the Miami airport, had a free shuttle to the port and to and from the airport. The staff was helpful and friendly. We arrived where we needed to on time. The building itself was a bit rundown, but it was safe and secure. The last night there was a party going on that was quite loud.

There is a club attached to the building that plays really loud dance music all night. This wasn't a problem for me, since my room was on the opposite side of the hotel, but I heard lots of complaints from people whose rooms were on the side of the hotel adjoining the club.

I chose this hotel to be near to the airport and it was. But no coffee maker, no complimentary breakfast, poor air conditioner and hammock mattress! Yeah 3 stars only I am afraid.
