5 Days in Miami
The room was spacious and very nice. There was a balcony, but the door to it was nailed shut. There was also free wireless internet in the lobby if you had your own computer. If not, the business center was expensive. The hotel restaurant had a great menu on one night but it changed the next day and wasn't as good. There are shops and restaurants inside the hotel complex, which includes the Grand and a Doubletree. The area surrounding the hotel is not so nice, so you need a taxi to go anywhere.

Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, Miami Beach and Coconut Grove are within a 20-minute taxi drive (if your driver speaks English and is familiar with the city, which is not always the case). Fort Lauderdale is an hour away (we rented a car) and has a beautiful beach and promenade.

Fantastic weekend getaway
Went to the Opera, very short walk to the Adrienne performing Arts center. Patk nearby to take early morning walks around Biscayne Bay.

Adequate.. but undisclosed parking fees
Looked hard on hotel website to find out if there were parking fees and did not find any dislcosed. There are overnight parking fees, and they are hefty.

Very nice place
My son and I went to visit at University of Miami, but stayed at Biscayne Bay. It was a nice stay. We ordered from room service at 2AM and found the service to be prompt. Beds, as at most Marriotts were super comfortable. The pool was also clean and well tended. Internet service was easy to connect and reliable, and the business center offered free boarding pass printing although the ink was out when we tried.

South Beach! Go early in the day so that you can get a parking spot, don't go over the 15th street bridge though, the toll is $1.50 both ways!

The hotel does not have any Central Heat system! According to the Mnager " in Miami you don't need heat":o But they lend me a heater to warm up the room with. The parking was full on several nights but they allowed us to use the Valet parking instead :) The good thing was that the room rate was, not suprisingly low. Check your bill details before check-out as there were mistakes in mine.

Get away stay
Overall a nice hotel but in a bad location that is quite scary and would nOt recommend for a family

Unpleasantly surprised
To start on a positive note, the room was nice and clean with a nice view of the harbor. On the flip side of that, we were facing a condominium building and it was noisy with the ability to hear the tenants dogs barking and talking and we were on the 29th floor. The staff was very nice and helpful. The unpleasant surprise was the hotel was under renovation and we were not aware of it. This was a bit of an inconvenience with the temporary lobby always crowded and not very appealing. Also, parking was $22 a night and we were not aware of parking fees. The hotel's location was very accessible to beaches, shopping, etc. Not many restaurants in close proximity to choose from for dining.

Great room with an awesome view.
Service was excellent. Only complaint is cost of parking-$26 daily. It would be nice to know this at time of booking.
