Worst Hotel

I was visiting family.The bathtub needs to be updated, vent was not working.The bedding was old and dirty looking( I had it ... removed from the bedroom ), and there were cigarette butts outside my room and they remained there during my whole stay.I had to wait until after 2 PM to check in .

Every LaQuinta I've ever stayed in had a waffle maker were you poured batter in and made fresh waffles. This one had toaster ... waffles and the toaster burned the waffles if you didnt pop it up early. The tub sunk down in the middle and the bathroom had a funny smell. Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but certainly not the best.

Great service

We had to wait for our driver to pick us up from Miami Int'l Airport but when he arrived, he was super friendly. It turned ... out he was actually front desk staff filling in for the driver - hence the delay. He chatted with us all the way to the hotel and even dropped us off at the room door since we had a lot of luggage with our family. The front desk staff who checked us in was friendly and even when the coffee maker broke, we weren't charged any extra fees, she just said, "Don't worry about it, no problem!" We'd stay there again for sure.

Worst hotel on the Planet.

We arrived good shuttle driver. 1st room on 3rd floor elevator broken. Im traveling with my father that is handicapped 80 ... years old. 2 hours to get assigned a new room. Next room no tv literally. Alrm clock broken, closet door does not open, forgot to mention key didnt work so maitanance took about 15 minutes to let us in and he replaced clock. He also fixed tv to turn on and it had about a 4 inch bluury area that ran horizontally across the screen. They had no more tv's to replace. Last 3 days maid would only fix beds. No new towels or soap or trash emptied. I would have to call for towels last 3 days. Curtain would not close fully so i would have to hang a sheet over it so people couldnt seee in at night. This was a seen out of a fuuny movie that no one could believe.

Check in was good; the clerk who took care of us had no rooms available due to housekeeping. she asked us to remain in the ... lobby and updated us every 15 minutes on availability. We waited less then 45 minutes through no fault of the hotel. She offered us a cold drink during the wait.

Take a short drive due west about 5 minutes, turning left on 87th. For the next 2 miles you will find many resturants.

Night from hell

I went to move my daughter in the dorm at FIU. After moving all day all I wanted to do was get some sleep first I had to wait ... for maintanance the light did not work over the sink. The smell was so bad I kept my head under the covers. Me and my daughter did not get much sleep. I did go to the lobby first thing in the morning and had them change my room. Still smelled but nothing compared to the previous room

ANNOYED & DISAPPOINTED

JUST THERE TO SLEEP OVER NIGHT AFTER MY CRUISE. IT WAS MOLDY, SMELLY, WET CARPET, MOLD IN THE BATHROOM, RUDE FRONT DESK ... PERSON(SHE WAS ANNOYED BECAUSE SHE WAS UNDERSTAFFED) AND AN UNRELIABLE SHUTTLE SERVICE. IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE HOURLY BUT EACH TIME I WAITED ALMOST 45 MINS FOR IT. LASTLY, THE SHUTTLE LADY WHO PICKED US UP THIS AM FOR THE AIRPORT DID NOT GREET US WITH A "GOOD MORNING" BUT SHE SAID "LETS GO!!!" RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. THIS WILL PROBABLY BE THE LAST TIME THERE.

Good Hotel

The Hotel was perfect for what we needed. A great Location for everything in Miami. 30 min from South Beach, only one toll on ... the main highway there. Hotel was priced much lower than hotels on the beach and we didn't miss anything by not staying there! Rooms were adaquate to stay, comfortable bed, a good breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. Can't beat that anywhere in town.

Was able to get the hotel room at the last minute, which was a plus. However, the room was overpriced and smelled like smoke, ... even though it was a non-smoking room. The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating, however, and the free Wi-Fi is a good plus.
