convenient to airport, good for families

This was a good bargain for location to the airport and car rentals, and offered good, free amenities. Although you need GPS ... to find the entrance, the hotel is an easy 5 min drive to car rental returns, and another 5 min to the Miami airport. We like getting a king room with fridge and microwave, and ours was clean and done well. There's not a lot close by, but you can find gas/snacks not far, there's a Bennigan's in the next lot, and lots of food delivery options incl sushi! Staff was quite helpful. With free breakfast, wifi in the room and parking, and it is a winner for people and families who want to stay near the airport. We much preferred our stay there to the fancier but Wyndam nearby that offered nothing for free!

This hotel is a GREAT DEAL if you are cruising, they pick you up at the airport AND take you to the Port for free. Best deal ... in town! We ate at the Bennigans out front and surprisingly it was good food. Our huge downfall was we needed to get to a gas station before our cruise. The hotel directed us to walk a couple blocks to the nearest gas station. The walk was very uncomfortable, kinda just walking along a busy expressway passing a few homeless people. The Gas Station was a dump. The only cigarettes they had were a couple packs of "Bronco" and Marlboro Red 100's. We walked to the gas station across the highway. It looked like a gas station, but apparently wasn't. There was a NAKED scummy guy and another guy in there. They acted surprised to see us. Seriously, it was a gas station at some point. But I am not so sure about anymore!! It was nasty! Back to the hotel though, the rooms were decent the staff was friendly, the transportation was excellent and the Bennigans was good.. My observation was that it was seriously across from the airport, so you could really hear the planes. It didn't bother us at all, but some people dislike that. If we were cruising again it would definetley be our choice hotel. We would just be more prepared next time! (also, the airport pick up is UPSTAIRS at MIA where people usually get dropped off. Knowing that could have saved us a lot of time wondering!)

It was very nice. A little better than expected. The only thing I didn't like was when you enter into the facility, there are ... weeds and overgrown grass on the was in, because the neighboring building is abandoned. And you are next to the airport.

The personnel was very helpful and friendly. Being so close is great after a long time in the air. I slso appreciated the ... message reminding me of the process for the shuttle, but it would have been more helpful if it had come a couple of weeks before the stay. Often I don't have easy access to the internet while away. The hotel is clean and has the neccessary properties.

The check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended a cuban restaurant that delivers which was delicious. ... The shuttle driver took our bags to our room and noticed it smelled smoky and got the front desk to move us to a different room without us even asking. The free shuttle from the hotel and to the port made our trip so much more convenient.

It was only a short drive to the Car Rentals and airport. It was only a short walk to a nearby restaurant. However, the restaurant's menu had changed as well as its quality of service.

Great for what we needed it for. We stayed the night before, and the day after a cruise. The airport shuttle and port ... shuttle were very helpful. Also close to car rental locations that we used for our extra day after the cruise.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was always spotless clean and restocked and they even picked up clothes laying ... on the floor and laid them out neatly which I thought was nice. The hotel is next to a Bennigan's restaurant which doesn't have much to offer but is good for a quick bite to eat. It's right in Miami near the airport so it's not central to downtown or South Beach but for the price it's definitely a bargain. This was my first time at a La Quinta and I would certainly go back.

Bennigan's is a short walk from the hotel. I don't know how long it will be there though. They gave you coupons at the La Quinta for the restaurant though.

We stayed here b/c we had a late flight in one night, and we will not stay here again. Yes, it was close to the airport, but ... that also means you hear planes all throughout the night. The hotel also had an unpleasant smell to it, and the bathroom floor needed to be mopped. Also, the plumbing was not that great. The water in the shower was only lukewarm (fastest shower of my life!), and I wasn't sure the toilet was going to flush every time. I wish I would have stayed in another hotel.
