La Quinta Inn & Suites Miami Airport East

this hotel needs to be updated the furniture is old and somewhat worn. They need to spend more time cleaning the areas other than the rooms. The first appearance is it is not a well maintained hotel. We chose it because we have stayed at other LaQuinta hotels and this is by far the least maintained. The rooms were good and the baths were well kept.

When we arrived the only room they had was smoking (we had requested non smoking). We had also requested a roll in bed for our daughter but, none were available . Well, the Front desk was nice enough to find us a non-smoking room but, we never got a bed for our daughter. She wound up sleeping on the floor.

The staff of LaQuinta went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. They even made several photocopies for me and did not charge me! The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Free parking. On the negative side, the hotel is vaguely entering the realm of shabby. It may be time for a face lift.

In business travelling all I need is a clean and quiet hotel. La Quinta provides both for less $$.

Overall good hotel. We were there for two days, the hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms were also very clean. We were not aware as how to use coffee maker machine, as we had not used it before, when we requested, the front desk associate herself came to our room and assisted us. This hotel is within 6 miles of Miami city center, parking is free (In Miami most of the places we have to pay for parking ) , breakfast is free and wireless internet facility in room / lobby is also there.

Excellent customer service. Key cards hardly ever worked--had to go to customer service for re makes. We did follow instructions and did not place key card by cell phones, but still, the key cards hardly ever worked. Pool was nice.

We stayed here overnight before heading to the cruise port the next morning. The room was clean, the hotel breakfast was sufficient and they had a free shuttle to the cruise port.

Stayed here before and after our cruiz to the Bahamas. Nice and clean. Breakfeast was good. Not too much to do without transportation. Refridgerator was promised but not there. They found one our third request, after returning from the cruiz(our son is diabetic and requires insulin to be refridgerated). Fridge was requested prior to booking. It was noisy and didn't cool down until the second day. This was the most disappointing part of our stay. Hotel is off the road and slightly difficult to find.
