Riverfront, business-friendly hotel in downtown Miami
This downtown Miami hotel houses travelers doing business at the next-door Miami Convention Center. The Hyatt Regency Miami has miles of space to host conferences and social gatherings in-house. Hyatt Regency Is OK
The Hyatt is in a great location near shopping and dining options in downtown Miami. South Beach is a fifteen minute taxi ride ($20-$25)for more fun and entertainment. The Guestrooms are ok not too big. The balcony doors do not open and there is no refridgerator or microwave/oven in the room. However the bed is very comfortable. Overall the Hyatt is ok for a weekend stay.

More of a business or elderly hotel.
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Miami for a couple days. It was not as close to the beach as i thought it would be. We had to take a taxi back and forth ($20-25) each way. If you want to be in miami for the beach don't stay at the hyatt. DO NOT TAKE THE METRO MOVER. Its free but not worth it. It's not safe. Me and my boyfriend witnessed a man being robbed at gun point on the metro mover. The hyatt staff recommended me and my boyfriend to take the metro mover. Bad advice. The staff are probably well aware of what dangers there are in taking the metro mover. They should NOT recommend it to their guests. They location of the hyatt is not good..many homeless/ shady people lurking the streets surrounding it. Good for just business purposes. Its a nice hotel and well maintained though. If you're more into the paryting dont stay here. no partying here. you should stay at a hotel near ocean drive.

the ok hotel
It was ok the hotel resembles the picture. It is very nice and I enjoyed my stay. Although, I could not go out on the balcony. Other than that I liked it.

Former Miamian
dissappointed for a Hyatt
Front desk, restaurant staff were all great. Passed management in hall with no greeting or smile. Formerly Executive Housekeeper & hospitality always a much when in view of public. Bed, covers, pillows great. Descent room. No free internet, was very disappointed as I assumed this was a large company & that would not be an issue. I stayed at LaQuinta Last month with free internet. Room located in noisy location. Overlooking Miami Ave at the bridge. Cars created sound like a convoy of military trucks. It was hard to get back to sleep in the am. Parking situation sucks there & in Miami in general. Use the Valet parking if you plan on coming & going multiple times.

Cruise ship passengers
Nice hotel
The hotel was very nice and clean but the carpet in the room was dirty. If you like to walk, the walk on the bayfront near the hotel is great. Lots of restaurants and live music every night. The restaurant in the hotel is great. The pool is good for the location. Taxi to south beach is about $20.00 or bus is $2.00 each way. Taxi to airport is about $25.00.

The hotel was clean and quiet, but the room could have used a bit of updating. Parking lot was a 10 min. walk from the hotel, and was still extremely expensive, even with the hotel discount.

Didn't live up to expectations
While the hotel was clean and ideally located, near my appointment, the room lacked several amenities that I have grown to expect in a Hyatt. The room didn't have a mini-bar; it was "miles" away from an ice machine; and the bathroom vanity was very small...nothing special.
