Homestead Miami - Airport - Blue Lagoon

After reading the reviews I was expecting a barebones hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. First of all it's not a "Homestead " hotel - it's an Extended Stay. We drove right by it looking for a Homestead. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Since we had forgot our phone chargers, I asked If they had any extra ones we could use (I understand many hotels do because customers leave them behind). they didn't have one for an iphone so the lady behind the desk let me use her personal one which she retrieved from another office. The room wasn't luxurious, but was spacious, clean and comfortable. Other comments had complained about the lack of amenities such as shampoo and dish soap. We had 2 bottles, plus toothpaste and toothbrushes (never saw the oral care provided) and enough dish soap for one day which was all we needed. We also appreciated the added security of gated parking as we had a van and trailer load of expensive equipment with us. Enjoyed our stay!

Great location but only if you look for something close to the airport. Otherwise, look for something closer to the downtown area / South Beach.

Breakfast was not good. Bathroom was not clean and it was very old.

Free parking and free Internet available. Breakfast is just some fruits, coffee, granula bars etc. Nothing really fancy about breakfast. It's just south of MIA, which mak it easy to get to northern burbs as well as beaches to the east. Some major drawbacks are, cleaning is only provided once a week, if you are staying that long. Although, they provide towels etc if needed. Room is tiny, it's got a kitchenette though. A refrigerator, stove and microwave. There is a grocery store called Publix nearby, you can get Latin food to go if you need. Another problem, I had to deal with was noise. My room was a the front of he hotel, and there was constant noise during mornings and day. AC was kind of weird in my room. Never runs at the temperature you want it to run at. Bathroom sink and tub were a little stained. Strong chlorine smell when I first entered the room.

We got to this hotel and had no problem with checking in. The outside of the hotel was nice and the grounds were clean. The inside of the hotel was another story. The room was older and in need of renovation. We didn't expect a full kitchen and when we were told our room had one we were surprised. However once inside the room the full kitchen was nothing more than a small counter to eat at and an old sink and refrigerator area where the edges of the counter top had chips in it and the small refrigerator had rust spots on it. The inside of the room and the bathroom was clean. Overall for one night it wasn't a bad deal.

has a kitchen but room is very spartan, thin carpets not very appealing.

They charged me $5 for the little peice of internet that I used.

OK Hotel for a one night Internet is not so good, slow and signal intermittent
