El Palacio Sports Hotel & Conference Center

Grossly stained blankets. Badly stained bed covers. Sheets were ok. Dirty carpet. Greasy stained arm rests and chairs. Stained almost black! Grease on doors and light switches. Filthy. Yuck. One friendly front desk clerk (Domanic (SP?)) out of two. Way away from airport. Not good if time is tight. Noise and light from major Highway right across street could be an issue. Nice pool. Decent continental breakfast. Got propositioned by two "working girls" and their "handler" near the elevators in the lobby. I was with my kids! Give this a pass.

It's a good option for people like me that had only one day and decided to go on shopping to Sawgrass mills the next morning (having a car). The room was OK, but it smelled like old. Bathroom OK and also the bed. The only thing i didn't like it, was the AC that was too noisy. Free parking included and don't count on breakfast, better to go anywhere else. Average for the money i paid.

Hotel bed was not comfortable but it provide work space, access to high ways are great, restaurant in the setting is lousy. wonder if we could have had a better deal. Staff is friendly.

This hotel was a great disappointment. The carpets in the hallway looked as if they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Booked this for the sports club to watch a basketball game, but it wasn't open. Can't understand why it has a 3 star rating.

I had reserved this hotel El Palacio Sports Hotel & Conference Center, because of location, that it had DINING,a SPORTS BAR, and a casino next door. But at check in, i was informed that the bar and dining was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS. No where did i read or see that the both were closed on wednesdays. Then they have you [...] sign a sheet that says no pets and no smoking. But one room smelt like a cigar ashtray(which i reserved nonsmoking) and the other musty and mildewy. On their behalf, they did let us change one room, but what a pain in the rear and waste of our time. So was it a good value, i think not. They didnt even offer any money back or any comp. When we went down check out there was a line and no one at the desk. So i wont be recommending this Hotel to any of my friends, and we all work for a major airline!!!!

For the price, it was decent. The A/C unit is extremely loud and the walls are super thin.I travel quite a bit and have been at worse hotels. Also, to be a non-smoking hotel there was a lot going on. I would stay there again, if the price is right.

The hotel was great, very impressive memorabilia collection! There were quotes from sports greats in the elevator, which was pretty cool. The front desk was hit or miss on being helpul. It is about 1.5 miles to Sun Life stadium, but there's really no where to walk if you wanted to walk rather than drive or take a shuttle. The shuttle was 15 bucks, but worth it. The walk is a bit sketchy after dark. The continetal breakfast was what you would expect. We didn't try the pool, but it looked nice. The rooms seemed clean and were pretty spacious. One bed was horrible, but we had two in the room, so we just used the other one. It's about 30 mins to Miami proper (and the beaches!) and you go through 2-3 tolls (at between $0.75 and $1.25) There are restaurants and grocery stores within 5 miles. All in all, very enjoyable for a football weekend!

Good restful and quiet

The hotel was super conveniently located to where I was going in town. I am from Miami so I was not suprised by the hotel. It was very small scale. The continentsl breakfast was low variety. It was close to my destinations. I would stay there again though. Very safe *(Police mini station onsite). Rooms were older but clean and worth the great [...] deal price. Not a glamourous Miami vacation stay but a great Value focused hotel suite.
