We came into town to relax, shop and see the Dolphins play. Doral was just the beginning of our relaxing experience. It was ... very central for all of the shopping and dining we wanted to do.

Adventura Mall is about 25 min away, but well worth the trip. Saw Grass Outlets is 30 min away but is one of the largest outlet malls I have ever seen.

Thought I might get a round of golf in but did not have the time. Location was far from everything. Room was tiny. Resturant ... service was poor. Pool was quite average. It's all about the golf.

The overall was very impressive! We loved our stay. Great atmosphere and very relaxing. Wish we had more time to actually ... enjoy all the amenties. Disappointed that the lap pool was under contruction. That was not disclosed to us before we made reservations.

Dropping off daughter to attend first year of college at FIU. Great location at affordable rates in summer. A lot to do at ... the resort even if you are not a golfer. Lots of restaurants in driving distance.

This was a good trip. My little brother enjoyed himself. The only reason I went to florida was for the beach and I loved ... it. I spent most of my time and the beach and the rest of the time was spent at the pool which will be perfect for my next visit with my 6 year old cousin

Rip Off -Doral Golf Resort & Spa

It was our first vacation with our daughter who is 7 months old and we were concerned about the hotel stay,cleanliness ... etc.The hotel was clean but the elevators were so small to fit in a stroller,the rooms are in lodges or buildings away from the main building and it was a hassle to walk each time to our building after parking the car.The parking lot was also far away from our room.We requested for a crib for the baby which was brought in after 2 hours after check-in around 1am.The staff was very rude and un-professional.First time we called room-service for hot water to prepare milk for the little one , they send water in a coffee pot that had coffee remains.The water smelled like coffee and was light brown in color.We ordered room-service and the food was horrible and highly priced.The menu says one price and the bill has so many break downs like delivery charge,gratuity etc.So we ordered a chicken sandwich and a burger and paid $40 for it.The staff starting from the front door to room service is waiting for an opportunity to make tips - you can literally see that on their face.The room service staff after delivering food expected a tip and we didnt have any change with us and we were trying to explain it to him and he slammed the door on our face and walked out.Internet,business center,parking everything comes highly priced.Definitely a place meant for the very rich and not the middle class family people.The housekeeping opened the door without even knocking,peeped in and then apologised.I totally hated this hotel.

I enjoyed the lovely room provided to me. The bed was most comfortable which accounted for a good night's sleep each of the ... nights I was there. The restaurant "Windows" was very good as was Champions Bar. Nobody objected to the noise our team of 10+ made as we enjoyed lunch and drinks after our rounds of golf. The golf staff were very courteous and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. I did not enjoy the 6 hour rounds of golf as I am accustomed to 4 hour rounds. It was tiring. Luckily the weather held up.

Try the dining at Windows or the Champions Bar - no need to travel off the property and the food is very good, though a bit pricey. But staying in at night is something I enjoy and after a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, I do not like to drive, so eating in was a joy.

Doral resort was very well kept and good value. Close to the airport and cruise ship pier (20 minutes to each). It was ... convenient for us to stay before going on our cruise. The grounds were beautiful, pools were very nice and my kids really enjoyed it. I like the service poolside. It is a good family resort, great golf resort. We did not use the spa. I wish there were more family dining options on the grounds instead of having to go out to town. The only restautant there was Champions (burgers fries etc.) Beware: mosquitoes a big problem, so be prepared!!

The accomodations were first rate. You go to Doral for the golf and it does not dissapoint! It is such a large place they ... employ lots of folks. When running a resort of this size there is bound to be some problems. The staff probably need a bit more watching from a manager. They seem to make their own rules as they go. Saying the kitchen is closed when it really was not. Saying they did not need a credit card on file, then refusing to let me sign things to my room was a bit of an inconvenience. But all in all it was a great experience. The weather and the golf were amazing!
