Don't be fool by the pic then only things good about the hotel is the lobby and location, room are very out of date and ugly, ... bathroom was very ugly and nasty.

This hotel claims they have 24 hour shuttle service that operates every 30 min. My husband and I arrived at the shuttle area ... outside the airport and the shuttle would not take us because they already a full load. We were told that the next shuttle was already en route to the airport. We ended up waiting over an hour for the next shuttle. After waiting 30 min I called the hotel and was told the shuttle was on its way. When it didn't arrive I kept calling. The person at the hotel would not answer the phone on several attempts, and then I was constantly blown off. When the shuttle did arrive it was over an hour of waiting. The next morning we were able to sign up for the shuttle service to the pier for an NCL cruise. This shuttle service was efficient. Also, if you're hungry and like seafood there is an awesome place right next door to the hotel. Great prices and great food! Also, if you want the continental breakfast at the hotel you will be required to pay $10 per person. I thought this was a bit pricey for a continental breakfast. Another thing: this hotel has a club on the bottom floor that goes until 6am. We could hear the loud thump-thump from the music until 6am.

No Hot Breakfast

The TV reception was extreamly poor. I have never seen cable come in that bad. We filled out our Breakfast order and put it ... on the door for them to pickup. They never picked it up so we gdidn't get our hot breakfast we so baddly needed as my son have Water Polo practive starting at 9am. You need to eat early in order to get in the water. When I called Room Service they said they were too busy, trying to explain what they had done didn't help, tuff luck. We went to the self serve to get something cold on the way out. I tried to explain to the girl at the desk but understanding english was not her strong point. Yes Miami is a foreign country. Bellmen-very unfriedly, no help with bags

We arrived at 10 am and they refused to let us check in until 3 pm. To add insult to injury they charged us $1 a bag to ... store our luggage in the hotel until the 3 o'clock check in. They also charged us 75 cents for each local call, $7.00 a day parking, and the continental breakfast was $7.00 apiece. We won't be staying again....

its ok for a transit stop or a one night stop before an eanrly morning flight. the "happy hour" for business floor guests ... turns out to be 1 (one) small drink at the hotel bar and a few chicken fingers. laughable.....

Close, but....yuck.

The hotel is convenient--and they provide a shuttle to and from the airport--but it is really rundown. The lobby is nice, ... but when I went to the room it was old and just had a yucky feeling. for example, I pulled the top cover off the bed and the blanket underneath was old and had burns and tears on it. I found myself not wanting to walk on the carpet without shoes because it looked grungy. Also, my room was located above or near a night club, and I could hear pounding music most of the night. I will not choose this hotel again.

Short stay as we only needed a room for a night so we could catch a plane early the next morning. Good location for us. ... Less than a mile from the airport and rental car return. Very classy registration, dining room and bar. Need to upgrade rooms a bit as the shower did not work properly and air conditioning system was noisy.

Great place for overnight when sailing

Our stay at the Miami Regency hotel.

This hotel was not what we were looking for. They have a bar with live music that played until 5:00AM in the morning! Our ... room was 4 stories over it and we could feel the bass from the music all night long! Then the next morning we had a car reserved with this hotel and they told us there was none available, then the story changed to - well maybe we can get one later in the day, after much debate, they finally found one for us! All spanish speaking people had no problems getting a car! We felt very much discrimanated against because we only spoke English! I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!

Looks can be deceiving....

The main reason we chose this hotel was because of the free transportation to and from the airport as well as the cruise ... port. Unfortunately our experiences with that were far from being the best. When we arrived at the airport we ended up waiting around for the hotel van for a little more than 2 hours. At first we never saw the van, but we sure saw all the other hotels around the area. So we made a call to the hotel to find out when the next one was coming, and they told us about 15 min. So we waited....and waited....and waited. 15 minutes turned into 30 then we finally saw it....drive right past us as the driver never even looked over to see if someone was waiting. So we made another call to the hotel and asked for the supervisor, well that was a whole other ordeal being transferred multiple times, calls being dropped and never actually speaking to one. At this point we were just going to take a cab. About 1.5 hours later we finally saw the van and had to practically jump and wave our arms to get the driver's attention. Hallelujah he finally saw us and we were taken to the hotel. The room was alright the staff were eh, not too on the friendly side. Another thing we noticed was that the room was not very clean. The bathroom sink as well as the shower were leaking. Chunks of tile were missing on the sink's counter. Basically it felt really run down and dirty. We've come to the conclusion we would rather pay the extra 20 some bucks for a taxi than deal with this "free" transportation again.

Short stay

We flew into Miami Sunday night to board our cruise ship Monday morning. We called the hotel when we landed and their ... shuttle was there within minutes to get us. The staff was vary friendly but did not speak very good english, they were very hard to understand. The rooms were clean but very out dated along with the bed. The bed was old and my husband and I spent all night sunk in the middle of it. We were only there for a short time and it suited our needs. It picked us up from the airport and took us to the Port of Miami the next morning which saved us $ for transportation.

Try the Latin Cafe, just up the road, if you are in the mood for Cuban Cuisine. Good food and prices. For tennis, try the Sans Souci Tennis courts.

Shopping tip, Short Drive

The hotel provide a free shuttle ride to and from Dolphin Mall, but you will have to sign in the day before the 10 AM departure. Otherwise there's a shared van ride that stop at 4 different hotels just for a fee of $10/person (round trip). Ask for the front desk for schedule.
