Crowne Plaza MELBOURNE-OCEANFRONT

We were on the 8th floor, quiet regarding other guests, staff were efficient, friendly, and quiet. No screaming kids in hotel or in pool area. Lovely spot on the ocean. Only negative was the Rescue Squad across the street going out on calls with all sirens screaming. At the top of the hotel, it was tolerable, lower floors, ????

The Staff was so helpful. The room was so comfortable, the beds especially. Had great music at the bar. Good food specials and great food. The beach is right at your fingertips. The beach was clean. great time for anyone looking for a great hotel at a great price

My daughter and I stayed for a weekend get away. This hotel was perfect in every way. Right on the beach for lovely walks, restaurant was great and wait staff remembered our favorite drink orders from the day before. Great value, we decided to make this destination a yearly tradition.

Meets every comfort need, EXCEPT for the shower which was nothing more than a light rain. We expected, based on our booking, an Ocean View but got more of an Ocean PEEK between 2 towers overlooking the pool. The staff @ the front desk were NOT in professional button up attire as seen in less star hotels. In my opinion, first impressions mean alot & that includes appropriate greeters. - They didnt fnish checking us in all the way, the room service staff was trying to get in our door before 8am. All in all, we had a wonderful time. Was this hotel worth it, I say yes, just for the comfy beds. And if nothing else, the Guy @ the door, wears a SAFARI hat :)

Room not clean. Linens not changed daily. Staff not responsive.

At check in we were greeted by a very sweet receptionist who offered us a suite at no extra cost. After that, everything was perfect.

Overall we enjoyed the property. We enjoyed the poolside room with balcony, we didn't care if we had a "personal" balcony. The ocean view from our room was beautiful. You could pretty much enjoy the ocean view from most of the rooms. Hearing the sound of the waves was awesome. Our children ages 10 and 13 enjoyed the suite we were upgraded to because of being Priority Club members. A definite benefit! The only thing we felt was missing was a gift shop, game area for kids, and a more laid back casual dining area. The restaurant was nice, but seemed a little stuffy. The staff was wonderful. We really felt they had our best interest at heart.

Fantastic time at Crown Plaza! I will be back. Great food and service. This trip was a guy trip for surfing, sun and fun. The waves cooperated and so did CP. Our crew enjoyed the bar and restaurant and walking distance from some other bars and restaurants as well as a nice health food store and many other handy spots. We got an ocean front room and enjoyed every ocean breeze and view all week. Nice and quiet for families as well.

My fiancé went away for a weekend, we only live an hour away from the hotel, but we just wanted to get away from our families and friends. The view was amazing. We sat out at the bar and watched the waves. We were having a great time until we went to get the bar bill. The bartender told me how much each drink was, and I was keeping an eye on things. When I got the bill, SURPRISE, they charged for ice for every drink. 1.50, per drink. When I asked him about it, he said "yeah, I was telling you the price of the alcohol, this is the price on the rocks." It kind of ruined my night, I have never been charged for ice before. I'm usually a really big tipper, but I suppose because I'm young the bar staff was really rude and unhelpful. I took my tips else where. We left the hotel bar and met friends at a few bars in down town melbourne, which saved the night. I guess I'm just trying to say, AVOID THE BAR!

The rooms were small and dirty - I will never go back to this hotel again. It was the most expensive room we booked on our trip and it was the worst hotel.
