a dump
Place was a dump, not clean, shower handle fell off in my hands, tiny and ancient rooms, overpriced ... can't believe you even list this place? Now I'm talking to my card company about billing errors.... not happy!!

Great location, poor room condition
We came here for our honeyroom and had orignally gotten a different room and once getting in there, it was extremely small, musty, and just wasnt overall good. So we went walking, beach location was great, and saw another bigger cottage type room. Went to front desk and asked if we could upgrade. They gave it to us no charge and the front desk was great. This room was bigger and a little better, but the floor slanted by the bed, mold on the bathroom door, holes in one of the glass in windows, bathroom needs repairs. Still smelled alittle musty, but was better then the other place. We didnt feel very comfortable in this room and tried to stay out of it as much as possible.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
Let see where to start. Once we got at the hotel, our room was supposed to have a Kitchenette but it didn't have anything that you can call "Kitchen" . The smell of the room was so horrendous that we couldn't breath at all, it was like the room was never open for the last 6 past month. We requested another room that wasn't smelly and have what we paid for it. They assigned us another room that had the "kitchenette", but we even found a dead cockroach at the bathroom, the picture that you see here are nothing like the real place, its horrendous the beach its totally full with trash that you can even get in, plus the lady at the lobby was rude and have an attitude. You can really tell that a place its bad when there is only three car on the parking lot and it has around 50 rooms. The rooms are really old and abandoned with 0 attention. And I'm not lying or exaggerating here are some picture of the real place!! WARNING!! AVOID AT ALL COST
If this is the only available motel in Marathon "SLEEP IN YOUR CAR" it would be more comfortable and cleaner.Our stay at the Yellowtail Inn was disgusting.The refrigerator was rusted,stains on the sheets,spiders and cobweb in the living area,curtain rods rusted,moldy,dirty ,was way overpriced and had to kill 3 bees in the bathroom trying to brush our teeth. And for a kicker they will not return your money if you are not satisfied with your room. And don't even think that you can talk to a manger that is never available and will not call you back to resolve you issues.I hope this review will saves one person form staying at this place and from ruining their vacation like it did mine.

A VERY UNHAPPY CONSUMER
NOT A GOOD CHOICE
The entire complex is VERY old and in disrepair. Our efficiency cottage was dirty, musty, and badly in need of maintenance. The beach was littered with seaweed and other debris. Boardwalks were in bad shape, badly needing repair and paint. The pool was in a complex next door, owned by the inn. It was dirty with debris on the bottom but the water was clear and we did swim in it. The pool chairs and lounges were few and in poor shape. We ate outside at Marker 88, a restaurant on the bayside and watched the sunset. Food was pricey but excellent.
