Bonefish Resort

This is the worst motel we have ever stayed in especially for the price. It's like a migrant workers' house. We think the health dept. needs to inspect the place. What a dump. Don't anyone make the mistake we made by staying there. There were carpenters ants discovered on the floor and also inside a rotting door jam. A wide grate covered a cistern directly outside the door.

The location and price were good but the facility had not been kept up very well. it needs some work.

the view was great you were right on the beach!! the sun raise the sun set couldn't been better every day and night. the room services was great even though the lady didn't speak English we understood each other. but the over all stay was wonderful there.

Our stay was on New Years and all the other places in the area were booked. We had low expectations because of some very negative comments on this site. The motel is old and in need of some repair, but it was quite pleasant for us. The room was clean, beds comfortable, motel is right on the water (and highway) and the kitchen was a plus.

Small, quite Resort right on the beach at mm58 on US1 (Overseas Highway).

Very expensive I would not go back.the location is ok, but the room is nasty, dirty the air condition was so loud and old and its parts falling apart.

The hotel was very basic, but it was about what we expected based on the photos online. When I called to tell them I was traveling with a pet [...] they told me at first that they were full even though I had a confirmed reservation [...]. Then they called back and apologized saying they did in fact have a room for me. The people running the hotel were nice, but it was an inconvenience to have to ask at the front desk for towels, a hairdryer, and hangers because there were none in the room...and the front desk was about 300 feet down the road at a sister hotel. They could not give me hangers and a hairdryer right away, so I had to wait for them to be delivered by maintenance. There were some dead ants in a spiderweb in the bathroom and on the comforter on the bed. In the morning, we awoke to a ~2 inch scorpion hiding under our duffel bag that came into the room during the night. The kitchenette would have been a nice convenience if we stayed multiple nights.

I stayed here for several days in Dec 2009. My flight was delayed, so I called ahead for a late check-in. The place was deserted when I arrived, but the manager on duty or owner (?) showed up within five minutes of my call. He told me business was slow, and offered a free upgrade from the standard room I'd reserved to one of the ocean-front apartments with a full kitchen and deck. What's more, he offered to let me stay a third night for free since they'd just started a new promotion! It's not fancy and you get a lot of highway noise since it's right off the road, but it was clean and comfortable, and within close driving distance of several good restaurants. If you're looking for a resort, look elsewhere, but if you're just interested in a relatively affordable and clean place to stay with nice staff, this is a good pick. Also, I didn't have any of the insect issues others complained about.

Average villa for the location and price. The bad: Bugs, place needs to be sprayed to kill those large FL roaches. The beach needs to be raked of weeds and tide trash. House keeping did only the min, floors need to be mopped daily. Free Wi-Fi would have been nice to have. Few more kitchen utensils would be nice. Good: Staff friendly and helpful, rooms quiet.
