One of the only oceanfront hotels in Marathon, Banana Bay Resort and Marina sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico, just two miles from the Marathon Airport, within easy access of the shopping, dining and nightlife of the town center. Situated on 10 acres of waterfront property, Banana Bay Resort and Marina offers a tropical escape with an outdoor pool, tiki bar and sandy beach area. Won't go back

Once was enough. First time I have ever been charged extra at end of stay for parking and wifi. Ice machine was hit or miss, mostly miss.

no frills hotel for no frills travelers

Hotel "beach" is fairly non existant. Daily charges for internet was disappointing. Decent place for the $

Resort????

When I booked this hotel and saw the word "Resort" I thought of more of a high end place. The price we paid was not cheap but this place was. The room was dirty, bed was awful, TV from the 80's, no airconditioning in the hallways, no elevator, parking in the bushes, could hear everything through the walls, room smelled (so bad we had to go buy spray), scopions at the entrance to the laundry (this is not the issue as much as the door to our room did not seal at the bottom). I would NEVER go there again.

HAD TO SLEEP IN CAR

OUR FLIGHT GOT DELAYED IN CHARLOTTE WE GOT TO THE HOTEL AT 2;00 AM AND NO ONE WAS AROUND TO LET US IN OUR ROOM. WE HAD TO SLEEP IN OUR CAR UNTIL 7;00AM UNTIL SOMEONE SHOWED UP TO CHECK US IN. THE BEDS ARE SHORT HAD TO SLEEP WITH OUR FEET HANGING OFF THE END. THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED THEY SAID THE PEOPLE THAT RAN IT LEFT ONE DAY AND NEVER CAME BACK.

Winter getaway

Fully recommended

The hotel is nice and clean with very good location, reception always provided best advises and was very kind. Only old fashioned bathroom could be renovated.
