Bad start great end
Started out with terrible service from young lady at desk. Waited 15 minutes to get service, (she was on the phone). Got first room, locked out , had to get second room, no TV reception, Third room assigned, already occupied, Finally on forth try got a great room and upgreat thanks to Andrew, (the best thing this hotel has goung for it). A lot of maintenance issues that could be fixed fairly easy. If it were not for Andrew and his determination to give good customer service we would have left the first night.

Orbitz, You Should Drop This One!
This is surely a hotel you should drop from your list. This hotel has, quite simply, had it. The room furniture, including the beds, was in very bad shape and the bathroom, especially the tub, which had permanent rust stains, needed a complete redoing. The TV did not work adequately (many channels became unavailable after a short storm and never returned), the pool got closed half-way during my stay, the restaurant has been closed, and much of the place could stand a good cleaning. Perhaps the one really good thing one could say is that there is easy access to the beach.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
The "downtown" of Lauderdale by the Sea, which is a city independent of Ft. Lauderdale and located just north of it, is nearby and has a number of modestly priced restaurants and night spots. Ft. L is a drive of but several miles

Beachside hotel not worth the hassle
I will never return to Beachside hotel. [...] The rooms are old and outdated, my headboard fell off my bed and my shower head broke while taking a shower. The two most important things for me while staying at a hotel is a nice bed and shower. Both were broke and my shower also wouldn't drain. This place need ALOT of repair. It's old and broken down. Will NEVER return

Great location on the beach with a very nice bar. Walking distance to many local restaurants and bars. [...] and [...] at the front desk were great. The only disappointment was our room was in desparate need of a face lift.

Bad as Mombai
I did not like anything at all. The pool looked dirty, the beach side did not have any lifeguard.India has better hotels. The front desk and carpet dirty and smelled bad. The bathrooms in very bad shape, the room carpets dirty and the room smelled like rotten. The air conditioning did not cool at all even when set as high. Don't recommend it, better stay at home. Had to go to Las Olas Blvd to enjoy the beach.

Will not stay again
Transferred to this hotel from their sister hotel "little inn by the sea" after being told I could not get a refund from the little inn. This hotel staff was a little bothered by any questions you ask and the management is rude. Our first room seemed ok but upon further inspection later that night after a day at the beach (where you need to pay for beach chairs and umbrellas) we realized we only had unbearably hot water or freezing cold water, no warm water. We also didn't have a security latch on the door just the deadbolt. The very next morning when flushing the toilet it not only didn't flush but it overflowed. The front desk took 30 minutes to pick up (meanwhile water had filled up the bathroom spilled into the entry way and started spilling onto the carpet faster then it could be bailed out) and once they picked up it took them 20 minutes to get to our room (on the 3rd floor). Upon going to the front desk they didn't offer up another room until I insisted that they either give me a new room or a refund. The new room we were in for 2 nights; one day we didn't get any towels and one day we were left with a dirty cleaning towel. The headboard in this room was halfway off the wall, there was no security latch on the door in this room either, and the safe although requested to be opened 3 times was never opened. The pool area was nice but full of smokers and was more of a party scene. There were people out there all night long (keep these in mind if you decide to stay in the beachfront building). There are plenty of other places to stay in Lauderdale by the sea and I highly suggest you do not stay at Lauderdale beachside or little inn by the sea. Save your money and go elsewhere is a big difference between old and awful.

the reviews are accurate
pretty much found what other's wrote. Good for the price. Place looks like it is under new management/ownership some upgrades in place beds were nice. Carpets looked fairly new but dirty, not filthy just dirty. On a scale of one to five this place would be lucky to get a one star, not as nice as most motel 6's and certaily a lot older. That said you can't beat the price and location. Very busy bar and pub by the pool and ocean that plays LOUD 80's rock from am to 11pm. Roudy crowd but very nice guests. Guests seem much more upscale than the actual property. Ok to spend a night or two in travel but definately not a place to spend a full week or real vacation.

This hotel needs a MAJOR overhaul!
One we checked in and checked this room out...I was ready to find somewhere else to stay.Room 122 did not have a cover over the back of the toilet tank!! It was totally exposed! The sliding glass door locked by inserting a stick for SECURITY? The only good thing about the hotel was the accessibility to the fine dining and shopping. My family WILL NOT be staying there again.

Unbeatable location for the price
Overall you get what you pay for. There is no way you will find a 4 or 5 star hotel that close to the water for that price. I got what I was looking for and was extremely pleased with my room & view. Now as for the (noisy)guests staying in the hotel that is a totally different story and is beyond my control.
